I was served a margarita with a live roach in it. We should have got up and left right then....the waitress brought me another that was 28.00. I figured they would have least took the drink off being that my party of seven stayed. Disappointed all around. Food was alright..but in the back of my mind the whole time.....is there roaches in my food..... no more for me....one and done.....

Had to get our own utensils. Food was not cooked the way menu described it. Like the fried pablano wasn't fried, it was boiled and soggy. My mom's grilled tilapia wasn't grilled. It was just pan fried. It used to not be like this. This used to be the spot. I'm not sure what happened.

Best nachos ever, one nachos will serve like three people so get a beer and watch some sports and don't be afraid of the cheese....Parking: Good parking for big vehicles!

The worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. I ordered and got my food and the order was wrong. Sent it back and then it looked like they took a tortilla and put meat in it and rolled it up and then put runny chili on top. The whole lunch wasn't even hot . Just barely warm. I won't be back.

Literally a bunch of children that work here and can’t do their jobs properly. When we ordered, they asked what everyone wanted without writing anything down. And then proceeded to ask who got what at the end. Too worried about their cell phones. And also, ordered a taco dinner. (Which should have sour cream on the plate). I asked for sour cream and was not told it was going to be an up charge for something that should’ve been on the plate to begin with…I see why it’s always dead.

This is an observation. However this establishment could use a few tune ups. Starting with the staff. Which looks as though it changes weekly and is nothing but minors. The owner has also been seen berating the staff in front of customers. But Working in and as a DCA the laws are clear on permits and the age limit on serving alcohol. You might just want to check into that. The fines are not cheap.... and are not going unnoticed. Have A good day....

My boyfriend and I absolutely love coming here! This is some of the best verde sauce I've had. It actually is really spicy! My daughter loves the French fries also!

The food was awful. Nothing was fresh. Pure grease...and when I politely inquired about it, I was given no customer service, no redos, no moneyback....nothing. wish I would have taken pics before I threw it out.

I’ve been to every Mexican place in Minden and this is the only one I would visit again. Yum!! The owner was a fantastic host.
When we first arrived, we were excited because it seemed like a place the kids would think was cool... and they did. However, Habacu's is apparently in the process of making new menus. But, instead of providing temporary menus or marking the updates in the old ones, the server just had to tell us everytime we ordered something that it was no longer available. Also, some items they did have no longer came with everything listed on the menu. Either honor what you are handing out or supply temporary menus. Three of our nine top said they enjoyed the food, but the other six had to make due with their second or third choice, which was missing parts of the dish because the menu items are no longer available. Also, I was refused a condement because it no longer came with the dish I ordered. The service was super slow for the amount of people there and all the food came out a different times... that wasn't too bad, supposing everyone is short staffed right now, right? The place could use a good cleaning. There was dust everywhere and the stuff we touched was sticky. Also, parts of the open restaurant looked like it was being used for storage. I understand that the owner is running for a public office in Minden... If he wins, I hope he manages that position better than this restaurant. Tip: If you pay in cash, please be honest and give the server back what was over changed to you. It'll make you feel better about the rest of the experience.

Won't be back at this resturant my daughter and grand daughter which is 9 yrs old went there during the car show she got 2 small margaritas 2 meals 1 soft drink was 60 dollars they charged her 18 dollars for I margarita that is ridiculous she questioned it they said that was the cost of 1 margarita when she left mad of course she call back ro the resturant to talk to habacu well guess what he was to busy to talk to her screw them won't never be back there lost our business and every ones else's business causeI'm telling everyone about her experiance

I rarely write a bad review, but this was time I was so disappointed. Extremely poor/slow service. Had to ask for utensils/napkins. Then we had to wait for salsa bowls and drinks and never could get a refill. Asked for a straw and then it was dropped on the floor, picked up and handed to me; husband just happened to see this or I would have used it. Even had to go ask for the ticket. Business was slow; only seven others in there. So there were no excuses!

This food is average for mexican food. It's in the historic district and in an old building. It's get's rowdy on weekends. Here's the important part. They bring you too much food and charge too much for it. So, if you go, share with someone.
