This was my favorite place to order whole catfish until yesterday 01/30/2026, My catfish was pink on the inside and the fish tasted like it was cooked in old grease or the fish was just spoiled. My worse experience ever and that was my go to fish placeđ€

Food is overpriced, ladies behind the cash register donât care to greet or make a positive atmosphere, the (already) small gravy cup is halfway full and hard as a rock, and food has no flavor. Would not bother coming again.

Average atmosphere for an old building, no decor, reminds me of old time store that took all old shelves and then put in a few tables on the cheap. The cashier was kinda rude and seemed bothered that paying customers had menu questions. The food we ordered was boiled crawfish that was either overcooked or cooked before today and then frozen. Result was an inedible meal for a lot of money. The coleslaw was actually pretty good, the potato was good as well. This might have been a one off time and the cashier might have been having a bad day, but unfortunately this was an identical experience from the last we ate there about 6 months ago

Guess I was invisible today. Stood in front of the cash register for a good 5 minuets. Lady looked at me several times never took my order. People came after me she quickly took care of them. My money is good, shame I had to leave to go spend it elsewhere. First time in my 54 years ever being completely ignored. Won't be back

Meh. We are from Ponchatoula and are up here visiting the area. While shopping today, someone recommended we give this place a tryâŠhubs and I both love catfish and oysters. We were both a bit disappointed. Nothing wrong with âholes in the wallâ, and maybe being from down south we had higher expectations. One of the servers was friendly, the other wasnât. Other reviews give this place a good review for cleanliness but I cannot. I wonât mention what I saw, because I didnât leave, but cleanliness is not at the top of the list. Not sure when we will ever be back to Minden, but we wonât be back here.

The service was great the food not so much. The corn was last week's and should have been tossed to the hogs. The cook did bring me a fresher piece. The coleslaw was finely ground like coffe grounds. No teeth required to eat it. We didn't. Just awful!! The fish abd shrimp was bland like something served in a nursing home. Hushpuppies were refried and bland. The fries were ok. It's a clean and friendly place but the food is in need of seasoning.
Stopped in for lunch yesterday for the first time. Definitely will be going back. Food was fantastic. Best burger in Minden. My husband had the fish po boy and he loved it. Place was very clean and staff was very friendly.
