We found this place on our route as we were traveling through. We were looking for something local as we have been disappointed by commercial chains lately. Pepe's did not disappoint. We used to love this location of Pepe's because we lived in Minden. They would see our van pull up and start putting tables together for our family. We loved their beans and rice, chips and salsa, cheese enchiladas with chili sauce and chicken tacos. I think they have changed management. Our oldest loves the spicy salsa here. The location close to interstate 20 is convenient with lots of parking including parking right by the door for those with mobility concerns. Friendly staff and quick service. We have celebrated two birthdays there with large groups of people - the food came out quickly, and the orders for everyone were correct, which is not an easy feat. Lunch specials are great also.
