Catahoula's delivers Southern comfort! Catfish and hamburger steak with gravy hit the spot, while curly fries and green beans round it out. The river view and breeze made the outdoor dining experience amazing.

Been there twice now for lunch. And both times the service and the food was amazing. Had the same server both times, Destiny. Both times she has been so amazing. She made my time there even better. She is an awesome person and the atmosphere and food was so delicious. Will keep coming back.

The food wasn’t good today. I ordered wings and cheese fries….wings were tough and dry. Hate that I wasted money this time.
I ate at Catahoula’s for lunch and it was delicious! The atmosphere, service and food was great! Highly Recommend!

Business lunch on the back deck with a view of the bayou. It wasn’t very busy-Monday. No wait. Apps were really good-catfish nuggets and fried spicy green beans. Blackened shrimp tacos were good. But very messy. Too much Coleslaw. Service was friendly and quick.

The service was fine and the food was decent but the portions are extremely small. Multiple people from our party left still hungry. I wouldn’t go back for that reason
Food, service and atmosphere was great. We enjoyed

Food was good, great location!
We came at 11:30am on a Saturday, Only about 4-5 tables including ours, and 5 waitresses working the floor. They found it much more important to sit at table by the front hostess stand and talk and play on their phones, than to come check on tables for refills and things. We were done with our meal before a refill check in happened, then it took over 5 minutes of us sitting at an empty table before she came to ask if we were ready for the check. It seems there needs to be some experienced management running the floor instead of having a crew of teenagers in charge of themselves.
For the price, I’d say try another spot if you’re from out of town like us. We found this as a recommendation from an online “tourist” type website.
We had my baby shower here tonight and the staff busted their butts to make sure we got seated fed and drinks in a timely matter.Only complaint would be it was so hot inside but it’s a Louisiana summer I guess.Food was pretty good too!Thank y’all for accommodating over 30 people. We will def be back!
Bit of a late review but we went here for Valentine’s Day. Wanted to try somewhere new. There was no wait. Service was friendly and chill. We sat on the patio, it was beautiful over looking the water with nice string lights. Atmosphere inside the restaurant can’t same the same but the outside is worth sitting in the heat or something similar for. It was actually raining the day we went so they had the patio closed in with heaters, very nice.
The food however was bland and unseasoned. Lacked flavor. I got a hamburger and my boyfriend got wings. We also shared an appetizer that had various fried things. Didn’t care for anything we had. His wings were so hard it was difficult to bite into them and they weren’t completely covered in sauce. To me they tasted old and to him he thought overcooked.
When I travel for business I always try to eat at local restaurants. I picked Catahoulas. I walked in the door and there were 4-5 waitresses/hostess at the front podium. I asked if I could sit at the bar.
I sat down but no bartender. Several of the waitresses walked past me without acknowledging me or asking if I wanted a menu. Sitting there I was just about to leave when the bartender came from kitchen ( she was getting a to go order).
She did great me and got me a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. I ordered a draft. The beer was cold and glass was chilled.
Looked at menu. I saw they had “Gulf Shrimp “ platter and a Catfish and Shrimp (not labeled Gulf or imported). I was going to order the combo, but asked are the shrimp Gulf or imported. Bartender stated that the shrimp were imported. Let her know that I would not be eating imported shrimp. Frustrating that a “locally owned “ Louisiana restaurant would not sell Gulf shrimp.
I got the catfish. The filets were coated in a cornmeal fish fry. They were over cooked and hard. The fish fry was extremely salty. My two sides were French fries and coleslaw. The fries were good. The coleslaw on the other hand was dry with very little mayo or other dressing on it.
Needless to say overall I was disappointed. Probably would not go back on my next trip to Monroe.
Good food and service. Fried shrimp is yummy.
