Our little waitress, Mattie, was the quickest and the sweetest waitress that we've had in a very long time from any restaurant in town. Our food was cooked to perfection. Our steak was juicy, cooked just right and my husband's coconut shrimp were huge and so good. If I was promised this service and could get Mattie every time, we'd go more often.”

“I’m a pizza lover and I travel the US often. Though possible, I don’t recall having a better pizza than right here at Flying Tiger. Their imported oven from Italy is pretty crucial in the cook but everything else worked its way to the top as well. The fennel infused Italian sausage and the crust was something that stood out to me. The mushrooms were gnarly as well. I can’t express enough how much I loved this pizza.”

Great Louisiana atmosphere, host and waitstaff were professional, prompt with seating and table visits and held good conversations. “My husband and I had a late lunch here today. The service from MaraBel (sp?) was top notch and the food was incredible. We ordered the Athena plate for two to share. It came with beef chicken and lamb- grape leaves and spinach pie (spanakopita?) a side of rice with hummus. We started with the baba ganoush and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Definitely be back. Thank you to the young lady who served us. She was lovely.”

“We came here for lunch and was seated immediately. We ordered a drink and appetizer at the same time. When the appetizer came out we then put in our entree order. I've learned that if you put your entree order in too close to your appetizer order it all comes out at the same time. This day we had a traditional cheeseburger cook medium. It came out hot juicy and cooked to perfection. It was delicious. I was dining with my mother-in-law and we shared the cheeseburger and the fries. For the appetizer we got the spicy chicken bites which I had planned to bring the rest home to my daughter but I forgot them on the table. Bummer. With one appetizer and a cheeseburger entree and two drinks the total was about $27. Not too bad imo. We were very busy and not alot of time but wanted to sit for lunch instead of driving through somewhere. The Parmesan Crusted Chicken is a Fave, too but I love a good juicy cheeseburger once in a while.”

Our server, I believe his name is Bailey?, dark wavy hair, was very attentive and friendly and made excellent menu & off-menu suggestions. Our food was wonderful. My chicken parm was huge and cooked perfectly. We loved the decor and thoughtful entertainment options. We plan to return soon. Don’t miss this place. It is unique in this area. “I'm a truck driver and my truck was broken down for almost 3 weeks. I got food here a few times. The 2 working here are great people and you get a lot of food for the money. I can't remember when I got this much BBQ for the price I paid. The chicken is the best chicken I've ever had and the sausage is great along with the ribs. Perfect amount of smoke without being over-smoked and the chicken is very juicy. I enjoyed the food and the people here. Great place to eat. The sides a good too. Most BBQ places they either have good sides or good BBQ but this place has both. The potato salad is really good and the baked beans are the best. Don't go there and not get the baked beans. They got that down better than anyone.”

“Papi Locos is my favorite place in Monroe for tacos, no question. Their Taco Tuesday $2 tacos are a steal, and the chicken tacos are always amazing. The chorizo queso is a must, and the hibiscus water is so good too. The owner is also incredibly kind and makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend!”

“My wife and I were so pleased to see the thoughtful design of Enoch's a Cafe, the best coffee shop in the Garden District! Usually we worry about how well a wheelchair can get in, especially when the building used to be someone's house a long time ago. Enoch's a Cafe has a solid concrete pad for accessible parking, with a smooth surface leading up to a gently sloped ramp. And the interior is great too--you can wheel right up to the cutout below the register! But enough about the building, let's talk about the people and the food and drinks. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help us. And her chicken salad wrap, my ice cream, and her iced tea all passed with flying colors. (And no, that's not a joke about the Superman ice cream. They call it something else here.) I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast next!”

“I want to give a shoutout to Nothing Bundt Cake in Monroe. I went to pick up my cake and it wasn’t ready yet. They told me that I could wait in my car and they’d just bring it out. We were in no hurry as the cake wasn’t needed today. 15 minutes later a sweet employee came out with my cake and a box of mini Bundt cakes free of charge as an apology. She told me that my cake bow fell on the floor and she refused to put it on my cake and remade it. Excellent customer service!”

There weren't many people there when we got there due to the work the city is doing. Now we did make a reservation for 6 when I saw they were able to say people again, but about the time half of us got our food more people started coming in. Due to a large group that came in at 4:30, space was getting tight. No worries - they made room, found a table, and people were able to sit at the bar. Between two other buildings which are closed while Subway stays open much later. The surrounding area isn't bright enough in my opinion. When I am alone I feel uncomfortable going there for safety reasons.”

“I stopped here while visiting a childhood friend for his wedding, the name is what made me pull in to check the place out. I don't go to many bars, but I do frequent pool halls. Unfortunately, they're often poorly lit, dirty, or smell like cigar smoke. My friends and I were surprised to find that this wasn't the case with Shananigans. Even with our party of eight wandering in off the street, it wasn't claustrophobic like most halls can be. The drinks were good and affordable, and the tables, thank god, are in good condition and properly leveled for play. We were even able to order a pizza while there; it was nice. I'd stop by again when I'm in town for our next meeting.”

I placed an online order this morning & when I get there, this poor girl is BY HERSELF during lunch & is rocking it! She made my order right then (she's understandably behind) and was so apologetic. “Its nice to visit other starbucks sometimes and just see how their layout and partners are. Had a great experience today, drinks fantastic and all the baristas were friendly. Im not sure when this store was last remodeled but my only complaint would be that the bench chairs are extremely uncomfy. Kinda like you're sitting on leather wrapped plywood. Nothing against the store or anything because each state has a different designer, but may want to get those seats updated for comfort.”

“I stopped by Taco Bandido a few weeks ago for a late lunch. I had my cell phone and was going to pay with Apple Pay. I wasn’t sure how to use it since this was the first time to try it. Simone and Shay were working and offered to help me. We couldn’t make it work so I told the ladies I would just run home and get cash. They wouldn’t have any part of this plan and asked what I had planned to order. When I told them I wanted a burrito, they waved their hand, made the burrito and handed it to me at no charge. Thank you, Simone and Shay! You ladies made my day. I’ve been back a few times since that day, with cash, and would highly recommend Taco Bandido.”

“This was my first time eating here. The food definitely did not disappoint. We ordered chicken sandwich combo with fries, 3 piece tenders combo with Bo Rounds, and a 3 piece dinner with dirty rice and green beans. Plus all meals come with a biscuit except the chicken sandwich combo. Everything tasted great! I will definitely be back to try breakfast that they make all day! Also customer service was excellent, I forgot his name on front counter but he was exceptional; very nice & informative about menu. Food was so good I forgot to take pics!”
