“This is one of my favorite places to pick up supper on my way home from work. The staff is always so friendly and my order is always prepared quickly. The chicken is my favorite for sure. Their ribs are tender and meaty. I'm not crazy about their fried ribs, but I know other people who love them. They have spicy and mild bbq sauces. I prefer the mild. I've tried most all of their side items and they've been disappointing. I usually don't even bother ordering their sides anymore. While the meats are consistently tasty the sides have been consistently "just okay". I think that their prices are very reasonable. Nothing special about the ambiance at all. Not exactly "date night" atmosphere but perfect for folks looking for a place to get good food from friendly people“
“What can you not say about this place??? I recommend everything. Their baked beans and potato salad absolutely delicious. Their chicken Po Boy with just their BBQ sauce is the best. ALWAYS order extra bbq sauce cause you gonna want to put that stuff on everything. Their fresh loaf bread is great but you just can’t beat their banana pudding and peach cobbler.“
“I was traveling through Monroe and I love barbecue so I stopped at Podnuh's. It has been years since I've been to Monroe and Podnuh's and I was hoping it was as good as I remember. I also had my two grown sons with me. We all agree the barbecue is excellent! I'm glad we stopped“
“My husband ordered online to pick up for our Valentine's Day meal. I had 12oz Ribeye, Asparagus and Ceasar Salad. He had LH Burger. They sent text letting us know that our order was ready. “Had the place to ourselves at an odd hour. Rib special was really tasty, nicely rubbed and smoked. Good sized portion for a 1/2 rack, and no sauce was needed! Baked beans were excellent and obviously not an afterthought. Glad I tried the pork rinds. Should have gotten a bag to go.“
“Great food at great prices served up by great people. You’d be hard pressed to find a better, tastier deal here in NELA. There’s plenty to choose from, including tons meats, sides, and desserts - it’s hard to pick what to try each time (so come back often). Their turkey is probably the best smoked turkey I’ve ever had in my life, but it’s alllllll good here. They even have daily specials! Do not sleep on BBQ West - they will pleasantly surprise you! I really appreciate the team who run this place - truly top notch folks with food I love!“

“I absolutely love their Dallas filet! Rattlesnake bites are a must try if you like jalapeños and pepper jack cheese deep fried of course. Can’t go wrong with the Cactus Blossom either. They also have a great fried fish plate for steak restaurant.“

“Look here, look here, look heeaa‼️‼️Best BBQ I’ve had since 2007! My Uncle was the grill master before his passing.This meat is PERFECT! Chicken isn’t dry, don’t take forever to chew, the ribs are perfect as well…You can TASTE the smokiness of the wood used in the meat…and don’t worry bout need all the extra thick sauce, the light gravy like sauce is ENUFF! Too much sauce WILL take away from the perfectly skilled labor of love that produced this meat.“
