“We ate lunch here on a Friday. I got a muffuletta and 2 others got the buffet. I really liked the muffuletta and my companions really liked the deserts on the buffet. We paid $33 for our food including tax so it was a reasonable price for lunch. One con, I don’t really like the air hockey table as it was very loud the one time someone played it. Recommended for the food, but the air hockey table was distracting.“
“Since I rounded up my review of Johnny's on 18th St from 3.5 to 4 stars last year, I'll be fair and round up this review from 4.6 to 5 stars. Mimi's is definitely better than Johnny's. The dough is more flavorful than the Bisquick biscuit mix style they have at Johnny's. And I can identify what is on my pizza. That was a stretch of the imagination over there. This is definitely New York style pizza. It has the soggy mushy crust in the center, and the dough becomes a little drier and more chewy as it radiates out to a crispy edge. Thin crust. I've learned to take a small bite at the pointy end of my slice and a small bite at the round edge and chew these together to get a better balanced chew. Then I work my way towards the center of the slice. I traveled for over 25 years in my job, so I've had pizza all across America, some were NY style (although I never had it in NYC, just in other parts of that state).I walked in and ordered this a little after 3pm on Saturday, Oct 21, 2023. I had errands to run, so I requested a 4:30 pick-up time. That was fine with Colby since he had 3 customers ahead of me. I ordered the 16 inch pizza with Italian sausage, bell pepper, and onion. Total was $27.60. I put down $30 cash. Got $2 change. They DID NOT HAVE any coin change except for pennies. ? ? ? ?♂️ So I said we would settle up when I returned. I came back at 4:35, and Colby saw me drive up and brought the pizza out to me, which I appreciated. I had some loose change in my car, plus some in my pocket, so we went inside and I traded $2 in coin for 2 $1 bills from him. Then I got my 40 cents change. As for the pizza it was good overall, did not get sick, but I never tasted any oregano or basil on it. To me, those 2 herbs make it Italian. I stopped in about 2 months ago soon after they opened to check on ingredients to be sure I could eat there (I have digestive problems with soy (common vegetable oil) and additives such as MSG (Accent) flavor enhancer and sodium phosphate). We were good - olive oil and didn't sprinkle Accent on it like Newk's does. And the young woman cashier assured me they used oregano and basil because she had worked at other pizza joints where they did not know what those were. Yet I didn't taste any herbs and didn't see any herb flakes. I ate some cold the next morning for breakfast and still didn't taste any.I eat a low salt diet, so I found this pizza to be a bit salty. I chose not to get pepperoni for this reason, but either the dough or the mozzarella cheese was saltier than I prefer. And the Italian sausage was also salty, plus I prefer more anise in it, like the brand I buy for home. It did have bell pepper and red onion on it, but I would have preferred more, a bit skimpy in my opinion. Overall, I liked this pizza. Turns out the 16 inch pizza was actually 18 inches, so more than I expected. It IS better than Johnny's. But I still prefer the artisan style pizza I like to get at Billy's Pizza in Vicksburg, Frank's Pizza in Shreveport, and that pizza I got at some brewhouse on US Route 2 along the New Hampshire / Maine border in February 2004 when there was snow on the ground.“
“Excellent Wood-Fired pizza. The owner wasn't perfectly happy with how one of our pizzas turned out, so he made a whole new one for us, even though the one he wasn't happy with was perfectly delicious! Awesome atmosphere and even a great selection of beer.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for wheelchair access and comfort.“
“??the atmosphere screams "sit a spell". The server was so friendly and kind, eager to please this newcomer.. she suggested their house specialty, Their homemade lasagna. Homemade pasta, the Italian sausage, the pasta sauce, all homemade. The bread.. I wasnt prepared for the size of the serving either. Considering every Italian-wannabe chain has small portions and large price tags. It was delicious! Ive eaten at many "Mom n Pop" Italian restaurants, but I dont think any others made their own sausage. Kudos to Geno's! I will be back!“
“After a day of driving it was time for some pizza. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was delightful. The staff was very friendly and the order came out relatively fast. Orders to go were going out the door constantly and the phone was always ringing so it was obvious that this was a popular pizza place. The facilities were clean and overall it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.“
“Went in search of salmon. Ended up ordering a chicken quesadilla. This was the absolute best quesadilla I've had in Monroe. I could actually pick it up without the meat falling out. Most importantly it was grilled with cheese. The only place I'll go to for quesadillas now.“
“Johnnys is a Monroe staple..... and our native roots crave each and every time we come in town for a visit! Same great taste and options. Memories flood our thoughts as soon as we enter. Fun fact.... They really are home to the sweep the kitchen. Be warned that when you move out of the NWL area and try to order a sweep the kitchen say...... Fayetteville, AR the peeps will look at you and bit crazy and point to their broom! (Speaking from experience). The new location was fun to visit and just as spacious as the previous location behind Brookshires. Thankful we have memories that have such good taste..... ha! Our family favorites are Classic pepperoni and sweep the kitchen.... Order for on the road, family gatherings or just a quick dinner. You can thank me later.“
“Customer Service Is Wonderful ! Thank You To The Manger & Associates On Duty Today ! You Guys Did A Wonderful Job & FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS !!!! My Nieces & Nephew Really Had A Wonderful Time & We Will Be Back Soon ❤️❤️❤️ THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYSS !!!! Thank You To The ??? Also !!!!!“
“I have to admit for a pizza place that's based out of a truck stop they make a good pie they just need a little bit of fine touching with their customer service and their work skills then they'll be an excellent place to come and eat all they need is a little bit more uniformity behind the curtain to improve efficiency. If they actually delivered pizza I think they could rival some of the best around here either way I don't think it's going to go anywhere really good deep dish“
“5 stars all around for Newk's!!!!!! My family always enjoy our food at this restaurant that has great customer service and great food! The atmosphere is great with low music and plenty of seating inside and outside. My go to restaurant without a doubt at any moment of the day. I can and have ordered the same thing multiple times and it's ALWAYS GOOD.“
“Love love somero's food the only bad point I would have is when I ordered they did not give me the breadsticks I ordered or the garlic butter dipping sauce which was something I wanted very much I live so far away it was too hard to go back and get the sauce so I just had to go “
“It was late so we had to do the drive thru but they were very friendly when taking my phone order and when we went to pick up our food at the window. More importantly the pizza was surprisingly fire! I live in Chicago and we have some of the best pizza in the world but this place was not shameful like most places in cities I've visited. I got the chicken ranchero. Bussin'!“
“This location is awesome compared to the others! The lady that works at night (I didn’t get her name) but she’s always as sweet as can be and works hard! The manager they have now is as friendly as can be and great also! Food is always PERFECT! Thank y’all for working hard to push out delicious and accurate orders!“
