I ate at Johnny's yesterday for the first time in a long while. Been eating there for 25 years. The crust was harder than it used to be, there was very little sauce and very little cheese on my Sweep the Kitchen. The toppings were good, but it was kind of disappointing. Plus it costs more.
A tried and true pizza joint from my childhood! I stopped in when I was here visiting my mom recently and ordered a "take and bake pizza" to take home and cook in my mom's oven. Boy, I'm glad that I did! It was tasty like I remember it being.. Oh, and if you are wondering what variety of pizza we ordered, it was the Sweep the Kitchen! The best in the world! After a day of driving it was time for some pizza. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was delightful. The staff was very friendly and the order came out relatively fast. Orders to go were going out the door constantly and the phone was always ringing so it was obvious that this was a popular pizza place. The facilities were clean and overall it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
