Flying Tiger Brewery and Pizza Bar

This place has no business being this good. The beers... I hate to admit it but every city I go to I try to find the best IPA the area offers. They may not want to call their beers IPAs for fear of scaring people off but they are phenomenal. The service is impeccable (EXTREMELY friendly people) and the atmosphere is nice (stereotypical brewery with a dash of local WWII history) despite it's location in the concrete jungle area of Monroe. The pizza is great. Get a side of ranch. Take a four pack to go. You can't ask for anything nicer. And it's in Monroe! Yes, right here! It's world class.

Every time I come here, the beer is fresh and the food is great. I always get the THE CLASSIC salad. The single is enough for 1 person. You can add Duck to the salad IF you want. The Service is just as good as the food and beer.

Flying Tiger is one of my favorite places in Monroe. The food is amazing and the staff is friendly and helpful. I love the laid back atmosphere and the way they always pour themselves into all things local.

Best pizza in town!

The pizza was very good. The cheese was so flavorful. The ingredients had lots of flavor. Nathan, the manager was great as well. We will be back. The negatives are there aren't a good variety of pizza options. No all meats, no supreme... They have a build your own with 1 meat and 2 veggies for $17. I wasn't a huge fan of the size of the pizza either. I think they are 12 inch pizzas. Man, if the would do a 14 or 16 inch pizza and a supreme, I'd go back every weekend. Needs more options. Needs better appetizers as well. Mozzarella sticks is always a favorite at a pizza joint. Hopefully they will build off this feedback.

Good beer, great food and dog friendly besides. The pizza was incredibly good and the outdoor patio was perfect for our pup. Will definitely come back here next time we are in Monroe, Louisiana.

5 stars is not enough to RECOMMEND Flying Tiger. I had a bad experience, due to a perfect storm of minor missteps during my last visit. I walked out very dissatisfied, and left a bad review. The next day, the owner James Simpson called me personally, and “made it right.” He more than made up for the experience, above and beyond what I ever could have expected.
We agreed that the bottom line is, your experience should be good when you walk out. Within 24 hours, I had a fantastic experience. That kind of care for customers is what makes or breaks a place, and he gave me an overall experience that was incredible. Thank you for your integrity. Every time I have gone to other FT, the food and drinks were exceptional, and I highly recommend FT. I plan on getting a shirt next time I come in, which will be soon.
