The trick is buttermilk. Yankees know it. The only way you can get a hushpuppy. Do better Louisiana. This place just disgraced your whole state. 1st time here. Last time wasting my money here. I should have eaten bologna sandwich

The shrimp were so greasy that the batter would not stay on. My wife had the fish and there was grease at the bottom of her boat plate. All in all the food was overpriced and disgusting. I knew Mel and he would roll over in his grave if he knew that the food quality had diminished so much.

They did not have the boudin balls that we originally went there for but do no regret it one bit. Finish dinner and chicken tender meals are delicious. The sauces are different then what my Texas self is use to but they tasted awesome. Highly recommend.

Paid at least 18 dollars gor for food .I am not the one to complain the pork chops were half done, my fried pickles would send your blood pressure through the roof. The owner was very rude and if it did not matter to him. They would not give me a refund, wanted to know if I wanted something else. Never again

Okay, not the best, but if hungry, come on by, I had the chicken and red beans and rice which is not bad.

Looking forward to eating here only to be beyond disappointed. The corn was old and had been sitting for hours, the fried pie was horrible! To make matters worse the staff were more interested in our minor daughter than servicing us. I can see the restaurant has potential, however doesn’t make up for the service or food.

Don’t go here 30 minutes before closing. They had already stocked all the chairs and the kitchen was shut down. Your only option is the leftovers that have been sitting out for who knows how long.
And the last time we went here, the food was only “ok” fresh, so we sure weren’t eating it old.

Prices have changed the price online do not reflect the prices in the store. The food was nasty and was not worth half of what I had paid. I DIDNT EVEN TRY IT AFTER LOOKING AT THAT GRAVY THE GRAVY WAS YELLOW, THE TARTAR SAUCE WAS YELLOW. DISGUSTING KIND OF UPSET I had to feed 15 bucks worth of fried food to my pitbulls.

I understand cooking to order but to stop cooking at 6 and you close at 7 is crazy so your food has been sitting till they close (only chicken No Fish Or shrimp)

3 o’clock and they were out of fish so I ordered the shrimp dinner should’ve asked, turned out to be popcorn shrimp. At least the shrimp was hot. The fries were lukewarm. That was my first time there won’t be a second.

I came here at 6:30 on the dot place is still open and people are in the kitchen dining. Lady gonna look me in the face and tell me they are closed. They close at 7. I’m a truck driver bro. This is a truck stop. This is seriously unacceptable. Do better! Otherwise the food is actually good… if they will sell it to you. Service 0/10
