This place was amazing! From being a super friendly, almost at home feeling, to quickly prepared burger. Named "The Best Burger in Town". I'm not from Monroe, but I've had burgers other places and they got them whipped! You do need to appreciate a sloppy burger tho. They even went as far as to give us a vanilla ice cream on the house! Let me add the wonderful woman that took our order was always sure to check our drink levels and offered several times to do it for us. Just ☆☆☆☆☆ ALL THE WAY!

Stopped by Ray's and wasn't disappointed. The roast beef PoBoy was good. The surprise was the fried pickles. Best I've had so far. Also, great service!

Eating Ray's Pege has become a tradition for me and my father whenever we visit my grandmother in Monroe... I'm visiting her by myself this holiday season, but I wasn't going to let the tradition skip a year.Entering into this small restaurant, the atmosphere is so friendly and so welcoming. I ordered the Philly po-boy with curly fries, and the wait wasn't long at all. The atmosphere inside and outside was so peaceful for being on the side of the highway. When I finally got my food, it was the most delicious po-boy I have ever tasted, especially dipped into the gravy. The fries were hot and crispy and were delicious whether you ate them with the gravy or ketchup!? I feel like I'm a kid again whenever I eat at Ray's Pege.Thank you to the cooks and staff of Ray's for making my holiday feel just like old times. I'll be sure to be back again soon!Parking: The parking is available, and easy to situate your vehicle, there is disabled parking available as well.

Have stopped in since 1970. Was so glad to find you had reopened. We so enjoyed a cone of icecream. That distinctive flavor is so delicious!

We were in town for a tournament for softball. We came to visit this place with 35 people. They welcomed us with open arms. They took great care of us and the food was great! Definitely recommend eating here.

A real deal, no frills, totally authentic, hole-in-the-wall *looking* tabernacle of road food, primarily serving locals since 1960. Gravy, po-boys and hospitality are the stars here, so come prepared to enjoy them all. Want something other than a starchy or fried side? Go for the turnip greens. The historic soft-serve ice cream recipe is very good too. Be sure to call ahead to confirm closing times. Deserves to be so much higher on Monroe’s best list! Not in town, but well worth the ~15 minute round trip drive time to detour from the interstate. Service is f-a-s-t and there is a walk-up window too.

The roast-beef po-boy was not as good as they used to be. There was hardly any meat on it! The gravy was still good, though.

It's was awesome, We got there about 730pm, and they were closing but the fixed us right up and insisted we stay. Just letting you know so in case you decide to go, just remember they close at 730 sharp. Gravy and good still taste just like it did in my 20s, hell they even had the same waitress They had in my 20s.
