The food was o so good and the service even better. We really enjoyed our meal. Definitely will return on our next trip to key largo
The best place we ate in Key Largo. We went twice. The fried shrimp were superb! We know why they have so many awards and the locals favorite dining spot.
A delight! Just the atmosphere... it’s very typical! A superb discovery We had a great time in love. It is very, very hearty even for the choice of a small dish. I highly recommend
We arrived a good hour before closing on a Tuesday night. Through no fault of our own it had been a terribly long travel day. Ordered two of the mahi dinners, which were very tasty, but we thought overpriced. And we thought 5.75 for a bottled beer was steep! We felt a little rushed by our waitress..we enjoyed the food but probably won’t go back.
Wow! Amazing food, drink.venue and service! Gluten free friendly.- knowledgeable staff and menu is marked- lots of option!!They celebrated my birthday w a fish and key lime pie!!
We had an OK experience at The Fish House… lots of glitz and glitter, but we food the food mostly lacking… with a couple of exceptions! We had cocktails (coconut martini and Cadillac margaritas), both good. Appetizers included the crab cake and smoked fish appetizer… crab cake, average, fresh, but we prefer the NE lump crab style. Smoked fish, while unique, we found it underwhelming. Entrees included the fried seafood combo and the matecumbe yellowfin. Most of the fried seafood was old, overcooked. Exception the fried scallops, they were outstanding! Similarly, the yellowfin matecumbe was fantastic. Those two seafoods were exceptional. Desserts included coconut ice cream, frozen ice cube of coconut, and coconut key lime pie. Not sure what was on top of the pie, but the putty, spongy pink topped coconut was weird. A couple of hits, mostly misses. Cannot recommend you visit.
Food, service and atmosphere were amazing! Highly recommend the smoked fish dip and mahi mahi matacumbe as well as the blue crab stuffing. Servers were attentive and friendly, vibe was perfect.

Great restaurant. The menu has always and will always say that a standard hamburger comes with mayo, but having ordered it countless times, I know that it only comes with mustard. Idk why they do that but order mayo on it if you want it.

We came to The Fish House specifically because it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and I’m so glad we did. Our waiter recommended the Matecumbe (the famous dish from the show), and I went with grouper as my fish choice—absolutely delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and lived up to every bit of the hype. The vibe here feels super local and laid-back. I also loved that they showcase art from local artists on the walls—we actually ended up buying a piece to take home, which made the whole experience even more memorable. If you’re in Key Largo and looking for fresh seafood with a little foodie bragging rights on the side, this spot is a must. Casual, authentic, and one of the highlights of our trip!
One of the best experiences a traveler can have is to find a restaurant on the first night in a new town that is so good you want to dine there again and again. Such was our experience with The Fish House in Key Largo. Our first night, we walked right in and were seated; later visits we had to wait but not more than 15 minutes and service, once seated, was fast, friendly (thanks, Joey), and efficient. Seafood is locally caught and prepared fresh. The variety is remarkable. There are unique chef specialties for the culinarily adventurous, but there are also straight-forward, unadorned plates for those with simpler tastes. Parking is adequate and inside space, while crowded, allows for comfortable seating.
Best burger in sterlington! Must have the jalapeño cheese bun.
