1st time visiting. I had Crawfish Queso Dip as Appetizer, which was great. Redfish Louisianne was my Entree with two Michelob Ultras. Food was great. Service was great. Well deserved 5 star

Very nice, extremely over priced for what we received. It's so hard to eat out now.

Dining at Warehouse No. 1, a long-standing institution in the Twin Cities, is an experience I approach with high expectations rooted in its history and reputation. Unfortunately, this visit fell short on execution and vision.

Service was a highlight. The staff was professional, attentive, and efficient, with food and drinks arriving promptly—an area where the restaurant continues to perform well.

I ordered the 8oz filet with burgundy peppercorn reduction, requested medium. While the initial cuts leaned slightly past medium, the interior progressed unmistakably to well done, revealing uneven temperature control throughout the steak. The reduction itself was applied far too generously, overwhelming rather than accenting the filet. Historically, this dish was presented sliced with restraint, allowing both the beef and sauce to coexist harmoniously. The current presentation felt heavy-handed and less refined.

My wife’s ribeye was cooked to an excellent temperature, demonstrating the kitchen’s technical capability, but it was notably over-salted, masking the natural flavor of the beef.

Because I had already consumed a portion of my entrée, I chose not to send it back. I did, however, inform our server so the kitchen could be notified. The response was professional, and a $10 adjustment was made.

What is most concerning is not a single misfire, but a broader sense of stagnation. Warehouse No. 1 has long been a culinary anchor for West Monroe and Monroe, yet the menu and execution feel static—lacking evolution, creativity, or renewed energy. In an era where even classic kitchens find ways to refine and reimagine, this felt like a missed opportunity.

I left questioning whether the restaurant is content to rely on legacy alone. For a venue of this stature, that is perhaps the most disappointing takeaway.

Nothing special, some of the food was good, some I've had better at lesser places. The chef and bartender makes the restaurant and...
The prices are too high for the quality... The meat grade was not good and the price too high...for that price they should be serving 72 day aged beef...unless your going for drinks and hordourves there's better places that won kill your pockets.

Very nice restaurant by the water. In restored warehouse. Also has patio over looking water. A piano player played music which was nice ambience, but easy to talk still. There are two tables well suited for large parties but most are for 3-4 or 2 as you would expect. Food is seafood dishes and steaks. Steak was cooked very nice. I may be biased though as this is where I proposed to my wife.
