Great food!! My only suggestion would be to add fries. I myself being a picky eat and kids all love fries and it's a staple of restaurants this is the first restaurant I've been too without fries

First time visiting this place we came to Monroe for my daughter’s gymnastics meet , and decided to try something different and am glad we did love how the stuff were so friendly and the food was amazing .
We.stopped for lunch & had a great meal! The red fish & shrimp was amazing! Our waiter, Charles was great & so friendly! We will definitely be back when we’re in Monroe!

Great place to eat along the water. Lunch time was very busy but was able to get a table for 5 people. Based on weather I would choose to sit outside.

In regards to Emma H.'s Response, upset? No disappointed is the word I would use. I'm glad you guys have been in business for 27 years. But that doesn't give you the right to make excuses for the last 27 years of service. Look back at your response and it consists of excuses for everything that was pointed out instead of accountability. This is a sign of bad management and a lack of care about what the public thinks. Instead of excuses, make improvements in each of these areas. As far as "Have I been to other restaurants and get back to us". I have, here and in neighboring Shreveport and Bossier. Here locally, Trapps has great services, a great menu, and great prices. And as many times as I have been there, I would say they would make an excuse for bad service or wrong orders but I can't. Because this has never happened at Trapps. And as much as I frequent them, they have had ample opportunity to mess something up. Just a couple of days ago I was at Drago's. Again, top-notch service and food. As top-end as that restaurant is here and in New Orleans, their prices and services are still way better than Waterfront for what you get. That is one issue with local restaurants, they all see what the other is doing and mimic each other instead of sticking out of the crowd and being known for doing so. Now I know you must have been upset when you wrote your response and that's ok. With that being said, I invite you to reach out to these places to see if maybe you can help improve these areas of management, services, and overall quality. The food has become mediocre and even the salad is withered. This use to be a go to place, however it has changed drastically.

Baked potato was not fresh, apparently it was cooked long before it was served.
Our appetizer and entree came out at the exact same time. My pasta was served in a bowl that was literally broken. And my pasta with shrimp tasted like mop water. Overcooked shrimp and plain unseasoned and no sauce on noodles. Paid $28 for a pasta dish that was so bad I left the restaurant still hungry. Then when I spoke to the manager about it in a polite way she was rude, snooty, and honestly her attitude was worse than the food. They took no constructive criticism. Thanks for the horrible food and even worse management. My partners red snapper was so low quality it tasted like catfish. We both left hungry with our food still on the plates. Waste of time and money. Won’t be back.
Our experience was WONDERFUL! Our waitress, Hannah, was amazing!!! We had a unique situation. We drove 4 hours to meet with a wonderful couple who was adopting our chicken. (Not as weird as it sounds ?) We came from Texas and they came from Mississippi. This restaurant was our meeting place. I am so glad this is the place we went to!! They allowed us to sit at the patio with our lovely chicken Aunt Fanny. Not only did she and the staff provide our food, plates, drinks, etc..they made sure we had a bowl for her water and checked to see if she needed anything. The service and atmosphere were outstanding and the food was delicious! Aunt Fanny sure did enjoy the crab cake!

All grilled or seared entrees. My favorite is the Shrimp Rahke ! Catfish is clean and high quality. Bring the kids and feed the turtles on the back deck. This is truly one of my favorite local restaurants.
