The Monday daily special, the big sloppy poorboy, was really great. My wife's salad with brisket was really good also, and the 2 meat plate looked great as well. I plan to stop by here the next time we are driving thru the area. Everything on the menu sounded great, it was hard to pick.

Husband and I went for lunch today with a group of people and didn't receive our order until 2 hours later and only because I questioned the server as to why we didn't receive our order. Everyone in our party had done finished with their meal and were finishing dessert and we still hadn't received our order.
When we were served, my order had a side that I didn't order and the food was lukewarm at best. Maybe they were having an off day, but I don't think we will be back because we were never offered to comp anything or at least get our drinks comped for poor service.

It was supposed to be a pulled pork sandwich, but it was small slices, not pulled, and there was way too much sauce. There was more sauce dripping from there than anything else. The burger was literally swimming in sauce, which was a ridiculously sloppy mess. I think the black chicken should have been steamed and then smoked. In addition to being cooked enough, the charred chicken skin that I expected did not appear. My husband has been insisting that he must eat it when he comes to Morgan City for seven years. Our waitress was really fun. She had a great attitude and a sense of humor!! Tha Mac and cheese was the best I've had in a while! I'll be back just because it was super affordable, and my waitress made it fun!
