Great BBQ! We ate so fast there are no pictures. Waitress was great. Place isn’t much to look at, but it doesn’t need to be with food this good! A couple of cold beers, and delicious bread pudding rounded out the meal.

I was extremely impressed with my visit. I got the ribs and brisket, both were great, the ribs were best. The sauces were interesting. Garlic and honey was sweet and tasty. The beans could use a little something in em but the ribs made up for everything. The fries were seasoned welll and I liked how they were cut thin. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly, had espn on and offered high tables. The pits burn in the back and you can smell the pits through the walls. The burnt black parts on the ribs were top notch. The toast was ridiculously good drowned in ea of the sauces. Def a return visit in the near future

Family was in town and I raved about this place and boy! I have never let down a group of people so bad.
All of the food was cold. MAC, fries ect. $34 rack of ribs so tough and dry I could've taken it as jerkey straight outta the bag.
I dont know what changed but I won't be back. Snapped a photo of the Wendy's drive thru down the street if you you get disappointed and need a better meal.
Sauces were good so there's that.

Had ribs which were cold and needed a lot more time. I would not be surprised if the were oven cooked. Sauce is good. Service is poor and spend a lot of time apologizing for bad service. And of course out of brisket.

The service here was great and super friendly! They have great prices on beer! 🍻 the Bbq is alright somewhat dry but it wasn’t bad. I got the oysters they were definitely fresh and freshly put on the fire 🔥 but just not all that good. I am a Texan so maybe I have a bias. Great appetizers!
When I pulled into the parking lot of East Gate BBQ, I was pleasantly surprised to see they have an actual smokehouse out back behind the restaurant. Their pulled pork is pretty spectacular as are the sides and service! I highly recommend East Gate BBQ!

Great lunchtime BBQ. The special lunchtime poboy was amazing. This is a regular lunchtime trip for me when in Morgan City. The service can be a little slow when they're busy, but theyre super friendly and the food is worth the wait.
