The breakfast food is best 1 hour after they open. The food is cold when they open cuz it was prepared ahead of time and the heaters are not warmed up yet but the breakfast was actually really good. The French toast sticks are so good mmmmm.
I haven't eaten at a Shoney's in years, most if not all have closed in the area I'm from. Those was just as I remembered. Service was amazing and the food was good and fresh. Will be returning again and again.
Had the soup and salad bar. Gumbo with no rice was interesting, the gumbo tasted delicious but I needed rice, I must say it was about 2 p.m. so that probably has something to do with the half empty soup n salad bar. Service was great and reasonably fast. Check out was prompt too. Next time I will try to go in before or closer to lunch to see what's available when the buffet is full. Reasonably clean bathroom for the age of the building could use a good scrubbing around fixtures...
