“The food is good. Every item I've tried was good so far. The only problem I have is with the availability of the food. The store opens at 4am. I get there at 5 am. The zummo kolaches aren't ready yet. This has happened on numerous occasions. I expect when a store opens. All the items on the menu should already be cooked and ready to serve.“

“In a 1200+ mile radius there are 2 places in Lake charles that have the best donuts I have ever had in that distance in my entire life and donut king has the absolute best donuts I ever had. They are so amazing that I can not even eat donuts anywhere else in the country that come close to 1/16th as good as donut king and the flavor has not changed in over 28+ years that I have had chocolate donuts from donut king. They should have a score of 12 out of 10 stars. Better than having ice cream for the first time is how I would describe how beyond perfect their donuts are.“

“happy donuts, y'all have my heart. i don't write reviews, but this place deserves it! i always get a ham, egg and cheese croissant and a glazed donut. the egg on the croissant is fresh and delicious, and the croissant is large with great portions for the price. plus, the guy working in the morning is always so nice!! for real this place is so amazing i'll stay loyal to happy donuts as long as they are open!“

“PERFECT, hit the spot! Friendly service and fresh donuts & kolaches! We stopped by because Cracker Barrel and Waffle House were packed out and did not regret it at all! We ordered kolaches, donuts and got drinks as well. Everything was priced great, the man behind the counter was super friendly and all our sweets were delicious and fresh. Thank you! 10 out of 10 would recommend!“

“Insane hole in the wall place to find the BEST boudin kolaches in your life. I only trust Lake Charles people to make my boudin anyways but I specifically drive all the way from Houston when I visit friends and always make sure to stop by here. Have to hurry before 11am that’s when they run out of god’s little gift to kolaches.“

“Best donuts in the Lake Charles hands down. Im a trucker and I go nearly everywhere in this country and I have not had the level of quality donut, kolaches, and others types of products than the ones I get from here. They have been my goto since they opened In 2012 when they were across from subway on 171. Now theyre on their own property and the owner is still the only in the bakery making sure the quality remains. Friendly man with a deep concern for his patrons and giving them the best donut no matter the rise in costs. He told me he still pays for the best supplies even though his profits are slimmer but he doesn't want to let his customers down.I been a loyal patron since hs and still look forward to it.“

“My son was craving a good donut and of course it was later in the afternoon! So we went to Dunkin’ and the young lady (forgot to get a name) was very sweet and professional! He is 11 so he is trying to be independent and order on his own. She was patient and helped him navigate through his order! He said the donuts were delicious!“

“This place is always out of stuff. 8 AM on a Saturday and out of items. It’s a consistent thing now with them. This use to be our go to spot but hard to frequent a place that never has half their items.“
