My son took me to eat here todayand it was amazing. First off, it looks like a house turned into a restaurant and it's really cool. Very cozy little place. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed them. And the food... amazing! And we tried several different things. It tasted like going to someone's house to eat. Like everything was made with real ingredients which feels rare these days. I would drive an hour again just to eat here. I highly recommend trying this place.

Was our favorite, sadly has the worst quality of food now ! Steak was as thin as a breakfast steak over cooked and tasted like it was almost rotten, the fried shrimp were popcorn shrimp with the poop vein in them , for the price they charge what a disappointment it was this visit.... and the waitress was far from friendly

Food was cold and tasted like pre-packaged food at best! Not worth the money at all and definitely won’t return!

Our server, Regan, was absolutely spectacular! The food was delicious and portion size provided enough for a left meal.
When a mistake was made on a pizza topping (we are all human), we told them we would just remove it because of time restraints. However, they insisted on correcting the mistake poperly. A fresh pizza was made and they over compensated for the error.

We stopped by for lunch today. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was excellent. We got the dirty cheese fries, to die for. The meat pies were also excellent. They were busy and all the staff helped out. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

I enjoyed the food (yummy meat pies!), but my wife commented the fried food we got was very fatty.

The food was fabulous! Everything we had was spot on and great! Very popular place and it fills up quick during peak times but the food is definitely worth it!

I am almost 70 and this was the WORST dining experience I have ever had.

First of all, we were forced to eat outside. There were 11 of us. The organizer of our group made reservations and followed up confirming multiple times. During none of these conversations was she told that we must be seated outdoors with a group this size, nor was she told that 4 was the minimum number to be on a single check. Do you know how many people no longer carry cash. This caused much confusion.

We nicely talked to the manager, Alexis, and asked her to make an exception as we were not aware and many in the group intended on paying with a credit card. She told us she was the one responsible for that rule and she wasn't changing it.

As my hands were already bloody from swatting mosquitos before we ordered, I only ordered a bowl of gumbo so my hands would not be touching anything going in my mouth.

In Louisiana, you should be able to get a good bowl of gumbo everywhere. Gumbo is made with Roux. Roux is brown. This had a reddish cast to it. I put my spoon in it and there was only about 1/2" of liquid in the bowl. I had 1 sliver of sausage. I pulled the spoon to the edge of the bowl and there was only enough chicken and rice to fill the spoon. There was less than a tablespoon of chicken and rice. I asked another at our table if I was being too picky or should I send it back or just let it be and her reply was "Hell No".

We had to ask 2 different waitresses to get our server. She did not come out for about 10 minutes. She offered to get me another bowl, but at that time, the others in our party were well into their meals. I did not eat.

When she brought the checks, I needed to pay with a card. We waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, everyone in our party could not get devoured by the mosquitos a minute longer. They had no mosquito control at all.

I put the passengers riding with me in the car and went in the restaurant to retrieve my card. Our server said she handed it to me. I told her she did not and she raised her voice to me. I raised my voice to her and told her she did not. She cursed me and with a raised voice told me I took it out of her hand. At this point, I raised my voice and told her she did not. The entire restaurant was aware of the situation now. I told her to find my credit card or I was calling the police. She was adamant that she was correct.

If she had a different attitude and said, she was fairly sure she handed it to me or might she have accidentally given it to another in our party, I might not be posting this review.

The bartender asked me my name and said my card had gotten put behind the bar with a bar tab. Nobody at our table had anything from the bar.

When we were first talking to the manager about splitting the bills, I asked her if she understood how important a good online reputation is these days for any business. This can make our break a business. Her response was that she really didn't care.

This establishment has a no smoking or vaping policy. Be aware this only applies to guests. I saw multiple employees vaping and a waitress vaping delivering food to a table.

I was not the only person in our party with food that was inedible. Save yourself the drive, the risk of West Nile or other mosquito transmitted disease, the disappointment of bad food, and eat in town.

Worst dining experience EVER! Made a reservation a month ago for 12-15ppl. Called last week to confirm it would be 11-12ppl. Called again this morning. When we arrived they still had the reservation listed as 12-15 people.
NOT ONCE on the three calls was I told we could only have ONE ticket per 4top. NOT ONCE was I told we would have to be seated outside....next to the propane tank, no mosquito control (we were miserable getting bitten), no lighting to see menus and as you can see from the attached picture the few lights that were in place was full of cobwebs. Mind you we were a group of people aged 50's to 70's! Now let's get to the food. The gumbo was mostly liquid with literally one slice of sausage, a few slivers of chicken and MAYBE one tablespoon of rice. One person was not told that what she ordered was not available until everyone else got their food, then what she finally got was subpar. All that plus as a non-smoking establishment you could see the waitstaff vaping EVERY TIME they came outside to take care of guests. This was very embarrassing as many of our guests were from out of town and out of state! I would never recommend this place to anyone, nor will I ever eat there again.

Will never eat there again. Was placed outside with no bug spray, was not told about group billing policies after my group of 12 were seated. Would not split bills perperson
