Dont let the outside fool you. This place is a hidden gem! The food was made to order and served piping hot! The burger was well seasoned, the cheese melty, and served with a smile. Who cares about the calories, don't sleep on that pecan praline pound cake. It is sinfully delicious 😋 Saved mine to bring home, but bought a second slice for my hubby, because no way am I sharing.

Passing through from New Mexico on our way to Alexandria, stop by this place.It did not disappoint the best catfish I’ve had. Very friendly staff clean place I’ve never had catfish that didn’t need lemon but today I did. Catfish was full of flavor

This is a family owned business ,located in the heart of Natchitoches. These people are the most gracious host and the food is exactly what you expect from their name. I had the meat pie basket and it's so delicious. And I'll always make a point to stop in when I come to Natchitoches again. Thank you for such great service and kind smiles !

Best food we had in Natchitoches!! Two of us had shrimp poboys--huge portions of shrimp, perfectly seasoned and fried. One had the daily special--shrimp and crawfish fettuccine--and loved it. We were too full so took our dessert to go--peach cobbler and pecan praline cakes--both delicious when we could finally eat them 😁.

We were visiting Louisiana from Missouri. My wife and I decided to eat at this spot on a whim, it absolutely did not disappoint! The people were very polite and the service was on point. I ordered the oxtail plate. It came with green beans and sweet potatoes. The oxtail was juicy tender and tasted amazing. The green beans had a great seasoning on them that had me going back for more. The sweet potatoes were out of this world and my wife was jealous that she didn't order some. My wife got the dirty rice and brisket sandwich. The brisket had great flavor and was tender. The dirty rice was AMAZING.
If you are in Louisiana and need are looking for a great place to eat choose this place. We love it and will be back if we return to the area.

Just ate at Bayou Soul, and the food was fantastic! My husband and I shared a shrimp poboy and fries, and literally could not eat it all. The shrimp tasted so fresh and the poboy was a New Orleans type bread. The owner was super nice. We will return next time we pass through.

I can truly say that the food is very good and the people that work there I know them personally and they are very nice to me every time I go there I just wish Mis Butter had a bigger stove just so she could bake 4 cakes at one time because if you don't get in line on-time the cake is gone because everyone loves her cakes ? omg BOOOOOM I thank God for The staff and management of Bayou Soul Restaurant ?
