Hana Japanese Sushi Bar & Grill

They have hot sake green apple sake no less! That's some good stuff, their sushi chef is second to none and I've been to a lot of sushi places! Places! They're tempora batter is crispy and not overpowering. The steak is not always the best, but you don't go to a sushi restaurant for steak, right? If you want good steak, you can go to the hauna over by Walmart

The Double Salmon roll gave review dude an upset stomach (likely the spicy salmon). Did taste good though. Appetizers are a little small

In town visiting.
We had Thai tea, gyoza, sashimi, a few sushi rolls and the seafood udon noodles. Overall I found the sushi fish temps to be room temp, rolls missing ingredients listed on the menu and udon noodles be overall lacking for their $22 price.

I was craving sushi so I came here since it’s the only sushi spot in town. As sweet as the wait staff is and how charming the rustic interior is, the food is what ultimately makes a restaurant matter, and sadly, Hana is not a very good sushi spot. The fish is warm, close to room temperature which really harms the freshness of the fish and gives it a blatant fishy aftertaste. The best part of my meal was the soup and salad. I think everything is very overpriced for the quality and quantity of each plate. I got the sushi deluxe plate that came with a California roll and 9 pieces of sashimi and it was just not very good nor worth the $25.
My waitress was very very sweet, though :)

Nice restaurant! Liked my vegetarian option. Shrimp was good too. My husband wasn't a great fan of the teriyaki chicken he was served tho.

So I put down a deposit weeks in advance. Had a date to rent out the back patio and building for a large event where they would have been making money from food and drinks for thirty people. Spoke to the owner several times. When we arrived on the day and time of our event the entire venue was full of prom kids and not only that they had booked a band and had them play in our venue. Leaving me and thirty people left without a venue. People who came stayed away for this event. I have never been more disappointed. Thankfully mayeauxs accommodated us and saved the day. We will never be going back to this place it was very unprofessional and made everyone one mad. They tried to make it better by refunding our deposit and giving us a 100 gift card. Unacceptable !!!!!

We came here on Saturday December 21, service was absolutely terrible. Took forever to even get a waitress, and when we did she must have forgotten to put in our order it took over an hour to get our food. Had to stop a manager to ask if he could check on our order since people that were seated after us had already ate and left. We seen our waitress maybe 2 times. Maybe they should stop seating people if the wait staff can’t handle all the tables.The food was decent, but for paying over $100 I’d expect better service at least.

Food was ok, not worth the price at all. My son got an order of tuna and salmon sushi. Where we're from you get at least 6 pieces of sushi per order, but not here. It was 2 pieces of sushi for $9!! So $18 for 4 pieces of sushi. That is absolutely ridiculous. But that was the least of my worries. The service was absolutely horrible. People who sat down after us were finished before we even got our order in. The waitress was just no where to be seen after getting our drinks. We were there for over 2 hours. Once she finally showed up to take our order, that was just 1 minute of ordering. Then a while to get our food and ate it in 10 minutes. We wouldve been there 40 minutes tops if the service was like its supposed to be. Spouse wanted to leave and I should've listened to him. They are rated on the lower scale of 4 stars for a reason. 😐

If you're an experienced sushi eater you'll find this wanting. The escolar sashimi was strangely cut and tasted as though it might have been frozen.the squid salad was good. LSU roll was ok but festival pricing of $25 was pretty steep!

12/2/2024. I take issue when you ask an 87-year-old gentleman to walk to the car to get his wife’s purse so you can check their ID to serve them a drink. Clearly, This needs to be addressed. Sorry that happened to you, Mr. Don.
