My husband and I along with our Boston Terrier puppy, Ruby had dinner at Maglieaux's on 4/12/2024. The service, food and atmosphere was awesome! You can tell that the chef loves their job because the food was just so awesome! Parker was our waitor and we received over the top service!!! We had crawfish corn bread, Catfish St. Denis and Mahi Mahi which were all delicious! Oh the entertainment was awesome too! Great job by all! Can't wait to make a trip back!

Not busy at 5, ordered our food, drinks came, 6:15 waitress came and said they were out of sausage for my husband's meal. He ordered shrimp 30 minutes layer still no food. Paid for drinks and left. Waitress came by twice the entire time we were there. Will never go back. Worst experience ever

Best shrimp and grits I have ever eaten! The gumbo was excellent! Server didn't bring the check so we had to go find him to pay.

The food is average at best, the servers are doing the bare minimum, and since the bartender they had in 2019ish left, they haven't hired a good one yet. It's also awesome if you're into being glared at by the owner lurking at a corner table while you eat. (That's a joke, no one wants that, Sir.)The patio and location are BEAUTIFUL... but honestly, I'm positive the only reason this place is still around is because tourists go there, as it's on Front Street.

We came in for dinner on 4/6/2024. Tome was 6:30ish. There was no waiting, however we wanted to sit outside so we took a table in the dining area closest to the street in tge corner table and waited for an outside table. Our waitress was a new young lady, who was trying very hard but was not trained and was totally lost. We ordered our meal and told Lili that we were going to be moved outside. She said no problem. At this point we should have gotten up and left. We actually talked about the tv show that could cone into this restaurant and turn it around. I could see the bar and the front door and the door going out to the deck from my seat so I watched as another couple came in and were taken out to the deck with no wait. So, i went to tge checkin and said that we were going to wait in the bar( hightop table next to main front door) till our table was ready. We still hadn’t gotten our water so we just sat and waited. This is when I saw a man who was sitting with a woman just to the right side of the singer come in from his table to talk to the bartender. She made him a cocktail for his companion in a martini glass that was a bright blue color. She said no charge and he handed her a single bill as a tip. At that point we had our water and noticed that there was 2 tables outside on tge deck, however the hostess(s) never came to seat us, so i went and asked again. He said sure you can go out and we did. I told him to let our waitress know. We sat at the lower deck under the tree(great seat) with a view of the river. It wasn’t very long before our meals arrived. However my husband had ordered a salad and it never came just our meals came. He ordered tge chicken breast that cane with steamed broccoli and it had fried okra. Both of us told tge waitress we did not have any silverware and she said she would get some. We each started with the okra and we both got stems stat we had to spit out. Still no silverware so I went inside, asked the hostess for some, he had one set and had to go into tge kitchen to get the 2nd. I could see several of them laughing when they handed him the silverware. Then we ate our meals, fair food, maybe a 2 or 3 out of 10. Never got a check so we left and I went to the bar to pay. They had to track down, Lili and then I had to get the salad charge of $4.00 removed. I paid the bill and tipped Lili 25% because she was not the problem. This restaurant had no manager that I could see and no adult supervision ir guidance. The bartender was the most seasoned person on deck and she was not helping anyone other than making drinks. We found out from a shop down the street that this restaurant is getting ready to close up permanently and it is understandable why. It was a nice place with the best setting in town and is no longer ran well or has even standard food. The owners should be ashamed of what they have done to run it into the ground.

We sat outside (great place to sit and listen to music) and the waitress was very nice. She was new and slow, but we had a great experience. The food was good but expensive and my sister's fries were very overdone. Recommend for drinks and view.

Get the burger and sit on the patio which looks over the Cane River Lake.

Parking: We ate and they allowed us to leave our car so that we could browse the downtown shops.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but I honestly feel like I would be doing a disservice by not leaving a review. I have eaten at Maglieaux’s in the past and have never had any issues. However, today was awful. It should have been our sign to leave when it took over 15 minutes just to get our drink order. We ordered our drinks, appetizer, and entrees all at the same time because we did not want to chance waiting another 15 minutes for that. The wait had nothing to do with how busy it was either, because there was hardly anybody there. When we received our appetizer our drinks were already empty. The waitress did not even give us a second to ask for refills before walking off. We waited another crazy amount of time for our entrees, which is fine. We still did not have any refills at this time though. We asked for refills and the waitress took our drinks and did not come back for another 10-15 minutes. Now onto the entrees. We literally could not even eat our food because it was so bad. My husband ordered the 15 ounce ribeye, which was about as thin as paper and definitely not 15 ounces. It tasted like it had been boiled or something and just topped off with a ridiculous amount of black pepper. I would compare the steak quality to flank steak.Overall, we had a TERRIBLE experience. For $100, I would at the very least expect a refill.
