We waited an hour and a half for our entrees. The waitress was fabulous but obviously the kitchen help was terrible. I spoke to the woman running things and she made excuses saying it was the busiest night of the year for them. This restaurant is a joke. They advertise as a fine dining experience but the food was average at best. The shrimp Oscar had zero crabmeat and they ran out of filets so my husband had a poor quality ribeye. Maybe the locals will continue to go since it’s an OLD outdated institution but as a traveler do not waste your time or money.
The heating system was not working. Do not enjoy eating an expensive meal bundled up. Switch from loaded baked potato to a cold small bowl of au gratin is a regression. Surely, you can do better than cold Sister Shuberts Rolls. Service was fine and pleasant. It's one thing to look high class, it's something else to be high class.
We had the lobster ravioli and the duck breast which were really delicious. The bread pudding was outstanding. Our server, Rhea K, was very attentive and took good care of us.
The food is overall delicious especially the duck breast. The disappointment was that the Parmesan and garlic oysters were a bit over cooked as the Parmesan cheese was chewy. The wine and whisky lists are diverse, the gumbo was delic.
What a beautiful restaurant and location. Staff were very inviting and provided an excellent level of service. We were seated by the window and had the perfect sunset view. I chose wrong when selecting my menu choice. The sea bass was prepared nicely. I just did not care for the spinach Madeline that it was placed on. It's a personal taste preference and certainly not a quality issue. Looking forward to going back and selecting a different item from the menu.
The food was delicious. Colins and his helpers were very accommodating. The view at sunset is great... Just go...

Glad for the return visit! We started with lamb lollipops and oysters. I had shrimp and lump crabmeat Oscar. My husband enjoyed his duck breast over collards. Topped it all off with sharing banana foster cheesecake.
I have been going here for over 40 years. The new owners are not there to oversee there business so the kids there do nothing. Food is great if they still had the salad bar. Food was great as i said couldn't get any service had to go get the people four times. But maybe thats why they didn't have any other customers while we were there. This place was slammed from the time they opened until 955 and customers would come in and still get the best service

Ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna. I thought it was over cooked but another member of our group loved theirs. The accompanying vegetables and seaweed salad were well seasoned and excellent.

The wait staff was amazing but it was severely understaffed and we had a party of 18, the food way okay but not what we expected.
We were there on a Tuesday morning and it was quiet. We chose to eat inside. There is also a café. We got a table at the window with a beautiful view of the river. Very extensive drinks menu at a good price (cocktails 10$) , fine wines from 21$. We ate Chicken Alfredo (large portion) , BBQ schrimp and tuna. A delicious piece of cake afterwards. Very nice experience and highly recommended
There was human hair on the food when they first brought it out. After I showed the hair to the server, they took the dish back. When they brought the dish out again, the steak was dark red and extremely undercooked (bloody). All the manager offered was 25% employee discount. Tablecloths were very wrinkled and disheveled. My meal was $58 and I feel like for that amount of money, it should be cooked correctly and not have hair on it. By the time they brought the food out for the third time, we had been there almost two hours and were just ready to leave. The whole thing took huge chunk out of our evening. And then we still had to pay an expensive bill afterwards even after everything we dealt with. Was looking forward to a nice anniversary dinner but will go somewhere else in the future. Such a shame because this used to be a really lovely place.
