Mayeaux's Steak & Seafood Restaurant

My husband and I's 1st time here - it was NOT worth 150$ at all. The only thing we got that would even be worth writing home about is the crabcakes app. Hubby got the steak salad, the steak was good but it was basically just steak, a couple slices of egg, a bit of cheeses and lettuce for over 30$ - definitely NoT worth the price tag. I got the grilled stuff red fish w/lemon & parsley and the fish was super dry and had really no flavor. The crab stuffing was just a crabcake with no breading just plopped on top of the fish. The potato was fairly decent, the grilled squash was basically raw. For the price tag, I don't recommend at all. Was pretty disappointing. Something to note: it was so loud in the place that we were unable to even hold a conversation it was impossible to hear, even sitting right next to each other as well as it did not seem as if anyone was in any kind of hurry.

Food took a very long time to come out despite the restaurant not being very busy. Once we got the food, half of it was hot and the other half was luke warm bordering on cold. Waitress was terrible. Had to get up and get her for refills. We could see her messing around in the kitchen with co-worker from where we were sitting. She wasn’t at all attentive and seemed almost irritated that we were there. Overall a terrible experience, definitely won’t be back or recommend to anyone. Ever.

We loved the laid back atmosphere and the music was great. Our food was excellent but the yellow in tuna was our best choice though it was all very good. Our service was A+. We went around 5:00 and were fortunate to get a table. Others after us had to come back as the bar was also full. Yes, it's that good!

The food was sad, no seasoning the food had a smell to it. 4 of us eat there 3had fish and shrimp combo there was only 3 pieces of fish that mane as big as your little finger and was cooked to a crisp. I had shrimp poor boy the shrimp had an off smell to them , but I ate it. We ate there on a Thursday 10/17/2025 and 2 of us are sick with stomach troubles on 10/18/2025 Friday. The prices were very high for what we got. Shrimp poor boy and Coke $26. Inside of building was ok.

Had a few ice cold beers and the tenderloin tips… perfect! The vegetables were so good and the steak was cooked absolutely perfect.

Great place to visit. Upper end of pricing - $25 to $40 a plate but I must say the food quality was far above average and we didn't feel we overpayed. Really liked the ambiance, put me in mind of a steak place in Chicago or a place like that. Definitely would visit again.

Nice place to eat but pricey even at lunch. Acadiana catfish wás a little spicy....for some reason chef covered our entire fish with etoufee..all pictures I had seen had it covered only across the middle. I had to dig my fish out. Strangely, our waitress had on a sweat shirt with shorts? With that price menu I was surprised. I probably won't be going back simply because there are other places to explore instead

Came for dinner and dessert, and absolutely LOVED everything. It’s such a cute, intimate atmosphere. Meat pies were a great starter. Steaks were seasoned and cooked nicely, squash casserole and baked reg&sweet potatoes were delicious. Salads crisp. Desserts were yummy! Waitress Ella was so sweet and attentive! Overall very very happy with our experience here, and definitely would be back!

Was not impressed at all. Me and my girlfriend went on a Friday night, we ordered steaks. I ordered mine med/rare, she ordered hers med. Mine was over cooked. The steaks tasted bland, as though they had no seasoning at all. And the bill was over $180! I don’t mind spending money on good food, but this food was not good at all!

Enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. Wonderful place to have a get together with friends and family. Great spot on the strip in Nachitoches LA. We'll certainly stop in for another round and it was worth the dirt wait to get a table for four. We enjoyed our visit and staff didn't rush us out even though we stayed until almost closing. Great spot y'all. Thank you
