Best restaurant in Natchitoches! The salad with orange dressing, Crab St Denis, and Louisiana Sin Bar are all amazing!

I got the Red Beans and Sausage, for lunch. The beans were so under cooked. The rice was way over cooked to the point I could barely even stir it together because it was sticking together like baby mush, it took 5 minutes to just get it mixed decently. It had zero seasoning. I tried to add salt and pepper and even hot sauce to fix it but nothing worked. It was so bland and just overall not a good meal highly wish it was better. The Service was good though. It's not a server's fault for the food, they don't cook it. My server was nice and polite. The general look of the place was nice and neat. So my major concern is the food as it is a restaurant.

A nice place in historic Natchitoches for having a good lunch. Food was good. Service and atmosphere was also good.A good experience overall.

My husband and I ate here after dropping our daughter off at NSU today. We decided to stop in for lunch before driving home. The service was great. They are mostly college age kids who are really great. Everything was good until the food came. We split the seafood platter. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. On the way home, both my husband and I started to feel sick, stomach pains , nausea, sweating. Both ended up with food poisoning. That’s enough for us to not eat there again.

We had the Cajun Potato today and it's definitely a 5 star dish. They put a large amount of crawfish étouffée on top of your baked potato and then place a large fried shrimp on top of that! You can order a second fried shirt if you like! Excellent! The server was very nice and attentive also! This is also one of the few restaurants in the area that has a restroom for their guest. This is a plus, especially for families with kids.

I only ordered bread pudding. It was just okay. I have eaten there before, and the food was good. I wouldn't call the bread pudding good. It was okay. The service was good as always.

The food is good, our waiter we had to keep going looking for. Each time we found him flirting with the girls. There seems to be issues with the air conditioning. It's always very warm in there.

Well this has always been one of my favorites in the area. But wehad lunch there recently for the first time in a while and noticed a statement on the menu of using foreign imported crawfish and shrimp. That is a big NO for me. Sorry, but I hope to learn in the future that this changes back to Louisiana or American ingredients only.

My husband and I stopped for lunch based on the rave reviews. We each ordered a cup of soup, I got the gumbo, he got the jambalaya soup of the day. We decided to split a meat pie plate. The gumbo was ok, not the best I have had, nor the worst. My husband rated the jambalaya soup 4 out 5 stars. We both felt the soup cups were tiny for the price. The meat pie plate came with a side salad which was nice. The orange dressing was tasty and unique and frankly the star of the show for me. It’s very sweet, so be careful, I wouldn’t dump the whole container on that little salad. The meat pie was also ok. The crust a bit on the bland side. The meat inside had some seasoning that implied something Cajun. The dirty rice that came with the meat pie was generous in portion but completely lacked flavor. I could not detect even a hint of the typical flavors such as bell pepper, celery, onion, thyme etc. All in all, we were a little let down. We did truly appreciate them giving a veteran discount and our service was good. The atmosphere was casual and kind of quaint.
