Was on our way back to Missouri from vacation and wanted some good Cajun with a great scenery and we got it can't wait to make that trip again
Nice local place
We were craving boiled shrimp and found the recent good reviews and pictures (the bread pudding on the menu really pushed us over the edge). Everything was so good!! Boiled peel and eat shrimp (deveined❤️) was the perfect amount of spice and boiled firm, no wiggly littles. Corn and potatoes were equally as good. I had a cocktail with tequila, grapefruit and lime (can't remember the name) great combo. Hubby had the boiled shrimp and gumbo with added grilled shrimp, could not stop eating it--he also ordered us a side of regular cornbread which was sweet and perfectly complemented the savory dishes. Bread pudding to go looks great. Sat out on patio overlooking the river. Service was great and honest about likes and dislikes, attentive--very pleasant.
I cannot give a food review because we walked out tonight at 9:15 after waiting 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, much less our food order. All we got on the way out was an insincere apology at the door. We are in town for a nearby funeral and chose to stay in Natchitoches so we could have a nice meal on the river. This is probably not fair, but this is my last trip to Natchitoches.
Over priced, food was good, just overpriced
Back porch eating off the river. Great atmosphere and food.
Oh my goodness! The boiled shrimp was to die for.
We all loved our food (and all had different plates), amazing patio by the river, good service. Great place.
Great service. Food was awesome. We had the BIG juicy boiled shrimp, corn and taters. Everything had great seasoning and we really enjoyed it. Only critique would be they brought me a bottled coke with a glass of ice so I'm pretty sure the refills aren't free.
3rd visit wasn't too good. Look at the fried food? Catfish was good. Shrimp, oysters and onion rings were overcooked. We had fried pickles and they were even overcooked to the point they had holes in the middle. Lastly, my wife's steak was overcooked TWICE... Not a good experience at all
Really good southern food and I would come here again next time in visiting the area

Ate on the patio overlooking the river.
Good food in a casual setting. We sat on the deck overlooking Cane Lake. Maci was an excellent server.
We enjoyed it so much we went 2 nights in a row. Great food, portions were very generous and great atmosphere. Maci was a fabulous waitress. Would highly recommend.
