we are long time customers. for the last 6 months we have ordered consistently from Toyko. everytime we are told 15-20 minute wait time... no problem. tonight I ordered at 7pm. my husband went to get it at 730 to pick it up. they told him they couldn't find the order ticket.. they had to start fixing it as he was waiting. it was after 8:15 when he got back home.. this has been a pretty consistent issue we have had with this location this year in particular. sad to say but we will not be visiting or ordering anymore... and I will be happy to spread the word of the terrible service and lack of professionalism coming from this establishment.
It was great. Brought my 80yr old Mom to eat there and we did the Hibachi lunch for her first time. She loved it and the food.
Everytime we go to eat hibachi it’s a problem. Some days hibachi is completely closed…today we were told it closed at 8:30 but the boss never updated the schedule online from 2 years ago because I explained that it states they closed at 10pm. Seriously never going there again. It’s terrible.
I went and order Sushi tonight and the guy with the blond hair looks very focused when doing his job.I sit at the sushi bar sometimes and he's very helpful and makes delicious sushi.I can see him making sushi fast everytime I dine in over there. He looks very sweet and looks very friendly, I always hear him laughing when I'm on the dine in side.I hope the manager keeps this guy, he seems like the kind to brighten the mood that the restaurant seems to need sometimes.
Amazing sushi, awesome wait staff! Only compliant is needed more seating around the hibachi grills. Other than that Amazing ??
Nothing was freshI ordered several sushi rolls. The smoked salmon skin roll, dragon roll, wonderful rolink panther roll, and Korean calamari. I have eaten at several different sushi restaurants and this is the worse. The rolls were not rolled very well. The rice was hard and tasted old. The avacado had black spots on itIt did not smell very fresh. There was a distinct ammonia smell associated with not so fresh fish. Definitely a waste of money. Please do not be brave and try their sushi. Go to a different place.
Normally it's a great experience. This time we went for my son's 17th bday. There was a roach on the table and my wife had to put her plate ontop of it. So disgusting.
Food here always great. They cook to order. Im not sure about everything I always order from the hibatchi menu. Always coomed to perfection.
I order a sushi roll and I seen one of the guys bring it out with his bare hands and gave it to the other guy to cut it up. That’s disgusting and unsanitary! I won’t be back
It was my grandaughter's14th birthday; she and her friends had a good time; and our chef and serve were fantastic. We enjoyed the chef's fun spirit, and our meal was perfect.

They automatically tried to sit us on the non-hibachi side, so make sure you specify up front if you want to go to the hibachi side. Our food was good and the serving sizes were HUGE! The waitress was really really miserable. I don't know if she was tired or angry at management or what, but she sat us, took our order, and didn't return until she brought us boxes without any other words. I saw her ask 2 other tables if they needed anything multiple times. She wasn't very cheerful to them either, but she completely ignored us. We had to just walk to the hostess to ask if we could pay up front because we didn't have our ticket and didn't expect to see our waitress anytime soon. Our hibachi chef was wayyyyyy lower energy than the others. I'm not talking about just a little. The other chefs were singing and doing tricks and engaging with their tables. Ours barely spoke at all and when he did it was super quiet. 2 of the eggs he cracked landed shells in our food. Also, it was strange to me that all the chefs cooked each food separately and 1 at a time, so you got your rice 10 minutes before your meat. Other hibachis I've gone to cook it all at the same time in separate piles so that all the elements of your meal are ready at the same time.I understand it's a small town, so it really was a decent meal at a decent ish price considering that. If you're a local it's probably worth it to shake up the routine, but as a tourist it was disappointing.
I really want to like this place and the first couple years I did but unfortunately it has gone down hill. I'm giving it 3 stars because I do like the food off the menu, the miso soup is bland, I do not like the hibachi, everything tastes the same because they put way too much sauce on everything, I've had different cooks but they all over sauce.
