I chose the fried mushroom option and while it was totally fun it was also just kind of checking it off the list. Definitely don't need to do it twice.
We loved the fried okra and sweet potato fries we got as sides. Their smoothies are good, too. I was a little disappointed by their entrees, though. The French bread they used for the sausage po boy was very soft, and the veggie ingredients were not very fresh. I had the jerk chicken wrap on another visit, and it was fine, but again the veggies were not very appealing. My friend got the bacon cheeseburger, and I thought it was the best entree of the three. Overall, I highly recommend this place for its sides. But I thought the entrees relied too heavily on imitation meat products to carry the dishes. I wish their entrees featured more fresh, well spiced veggies.
Nice to have an all vegan place, it is however really vegan fast food and we end up not finding it very special. Also the salad was not fresh like we expected. I guess that this kind of vegan is just not too much our thing.
Good spot , good music Had the spicy sausage po' boi.. let's go. Good flavor and sauce - good spot by the French market. Recommend .. fried mushrooms were great as well
A classic NOLA sandwich and taste. Would recommend.
Great service, excellent food, we had the fable mushroom poboy sub and okra bites which were fried in a light batter. Food was so flavoursome , and the tropical smoothie outstanding. We would have been back everyday if we hadn't been going home the next day. Great location as there are a row of witch shops with some great items in them from the next door down and the French Market that does fantastic cocktails.
Hot sausage po boy was huge, super tasty, really cool unique vegan options you don’t see many other places. Gumbo was a little plain, I like mine with more of a kick. Not plain enough to knock a star off, this is still definitely a place I’d come back to, the sandwich ruled
This was pretty much my first stop in New Orleans and it was a perfect one! I got a fried mushroom po' boy and split the fried okra with friends - both craveable cajun food! The location is convenient for a lot of fun in the area😄I need to go back and try more of the menu!
I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and sweet potato fries. The sauce was spicy and had the perfect kick of heat but not too much. The cheese was melted and gooey and delicious. The protein was crispy and delicious. Very filling and good. Will definitely go back and try more things!
small menu including burgers, po boys, spicy chickn sandwiches, also some juices/sea moss/sides including fried okra. perfect late night drunchies

I was very excited to try out 2 Phat Vegans. The menu looks great and the reviews seem to bear. that out. A little disappointed to find that when I arrived the two most popular items - Hot Sausage Po Boy and Mic Drop Burger were out of stock. I asked the cashier for any other recommendations and she said the jerk chicken was great so I ordered that and the pepperoni pizza as well as a dessert. The pizza came out first and was quite good. The cheese is a little gummy, but flavorful and the pepperoni is the best I’ve had. I wish the crust was a little crispier but it’s very good. The jerk chicken is very interesting. It’s quite flavorful and the jerk seasoning is spicy but not overwhelming. It’s heated a little inconsistently though. The chicken was room temp while other parts were very hot. The cheese was melted in parts and not melted in other. The wrap itself is a nice texture. All in all the wrap is good but not great. The heat is nice and flavorful though so it makes me wish I could have tried the po boy. The dessert is good, lemon poppyseed muffins. It’s very good but just as good as the Abe’s muffins of the same flavor. Given the small number of all vegan restaurants in the area, you should definitely check this place out and support them. It’s good food, good atmosphere, friendly staff. 4/5
2 Phat Vegans in NOLA is a cool spot for plant-based eats. Their mushroom po'boy is a knockout, with perfectly seasoned 'shrooms that'll make your taste buds dance. The hot sausage po'boy brings the heat, nailing those classic New Orleans flavors. With big portions and chill island vibes, this place hits the spot for everyone. Fresh food, friendly folks, and tasty twists on local faves make 2 Phat Vegans a must-try for any food lover in the Big Easy.
I was searching for vegan hot sausage poboy and 2 Phat Vegans delivered! It’s a really good place to get local inspired foods that gets the flavor right. Make sure you eat here!
I ordered the black beans burger and it was phenomenal! I love the buns they use and everything was cooked perfectly. I will say that their magic is in the food but maybe not the ambiance! The closed sign was up in the middle of the day and I asked if they were open and they said yes! The menu on the QR code seemed to be inaccurate so I recommend using the menu on the wall!
A small shop with friendly and helpful staff. Our experience was mixed. We had the Jerk Chicken Wrap, Hot Sausage Po Boy, fried mushrooms, and Oras Mocha Milkshake. The Jerk Chicken Wrap was excellent. The Hot Sausage Po Boy had good flavors but was underwhelming due to not having enough sausage. The shakes were tasty but pretty thin for a milkshake. The fried mushrooms were cut so small that the flavor was almost all breading. I'd definitely come again but would avoid the po boy and the fried mushrooms.
