I guess charbroil there means extra char. The oysters would have been amazing if not over charred

Chargrilled Oysters with the crab meat is the BEST!
So disappointed. Heard great things about this place and couldn’t have been more disappointed. Received the wrong order, oyster shells in the Po-Boys, Cole slaw was atrocious, and ordered peach cobbler not only received the ice crab abs pecan topping (no cobbler). You can find better food elsewhere that you don’t have to wait as long for or pay nearly as much for

I haven’t been to New Orleans since before Covid. Unfortunately I hate using Covid as an excuse but every restaurant and hotel and anything hospitality is using it as an excuse in skimping on quality. I got the charbroiled oysters and I was so excited. There was barely any of the herb butter on mine. Cheese was lacking on most of them. I was so disappointed. The last time I was there they were so awesome. So again, if it’s your first time there, you’re not gonna have anything to judge it by, but I just would never come back again. There’s a lot better places that have just as good chargrilled oysters, if not better now.
It's a toss-up between Acme & Felix's as to my favorite oyster bar in New Orleans. I first went to Felix's decades ago, and I go to both when in New Orleans. At Acme I always begin with a half dozen raw, and a half dozen char-broiled, and I also add a fried soft-shell crab. Oyster prices increased dramatically after Covid, but you get what you pay for; Acme's oysters are as good as they come.
This place is the ultimate spot for comfort food! From shrimp etouffee to roast beef po'boys to chargrilled oysters, you'll find the best of New Orleans cuisine here. The ambiance is lively, with an authentic American vintage vibe throughout. The food was exceptional—tasty, comforting, and absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back for more. I came back 4 days later ? and tried the boom boom shrimps and an ACME special PO Boy (roast beef, ham, and cheese...) it was to die for, even better than last time's roast beef!

This place has mad atmosphere. We got there right on time for lunch. A long line formed by the time we left, and I'm guessing everyone in that line found the wait to be worth it. Sat at the bar by the door where we chatted with the nice man who was shucking oysters while also seeing to all our needs intuitively. My dining companion had a poboy with fried shrimp and oysters. He said it was the best he'd eaten (with Port Aransas, Texas as his only comparison). I really enjoyed the veggie burger. The patty was really good, and the bun absolutely made it. Also, yummy sweet potato fries. Overall, a delicious and fun dining experience!Vegetarian options: I really enjoyed the veggie burger. Good patty, and the bun was delicious!

Good food, location was great. Service was below average. Had to get up and find my waitress multiple times as she was hyper focused on one table since they found a bug in their food.No kids menu either.
The person that seats patrons needs to be switched with a sign that says seat yourself. The waiter was decent but by then it was already slow for 3 stars or better.Wheelchair accessibility: What wheelchair accessibility? You would have to leave your chair on the sidewalk and crawl inside or be carried in.
