This little cafe that is attached to the LA Children’s Museum is a great spot for a quick bite or snack or a full lunch. They have a good menu of sandwiches and salads. Their pastry counter is my favorite though, can’t leave without a homemade pop tart or a delicious cinnamon roll ?

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Acorn, a delightful little restaurant attached to the Louisiana Children's Museum. My intention was simple: to grab a quick bottle of water. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. Among their offerings, a homemade strawberry pop tart caught my eye, and I couldn't resist giving it a try. It was a decision I didn't regret – the pop tart was absolutely delicious, far surpassing the ones I've tried at Disney World's Toy Story Land. The strawberry filling was evidently homemade, fresh, and perfectly balanced in sweetness.Though my visit was brief, the variety on their menu intrigued me. There were many options I didn't get to explore, but the glimpse of their culinary diversity was enough to assure me that a return visit is necessary. Acorn is not just a convenient stop for museum-goers but a genuine culinary destination in its own right. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere adds to the overall delightful experience. I can't wait to return, especially for another one of those heavenly strawberry pop tarts! A five-star rating for Acorn – highly recommended for anyone visiting the museum or in the area!Kid-friendliness: Acorn shines in its kid-friendliness, offering a menu full of appealing choices for children and cozy, kid-sized booths that make the dining experience fun and comfortable for the little ones. This thoughtful approach to accommodating families truly makes it a delightful spot for both parents and kids.

I recently visited Acorn, the charming eatery nestled within the Louisiana Children's Museum, and what an unexpected delight it was! Initially stepping in just to grab a bottle of water, I couldn't help but be enticed by their homemade strawberry pop tart, showcased so invitingly. Let me tell you, it was an absolute treat - so scrumptious that it effortlessly surpasses the famed pop tarts at Disney World's Toy Story Land. The strawberry filling had a delightful homemade quality, bursting with natural flavor and just the right sweetness.Although my visit was brief and solely for the pop tart, the array of options on their menu caught my eye, promising a variety of delectable choices. Their culinary offerings seem to cater to a wide range of tastes, making me eagerly anticipate my next visit. Acorn isn't just a restaurant; it's a delightful culinary experience, especially for those who appreciate the simple joy of a well-made treat. I'm already looking forward to my return, and it's the homemade strawberry pop tart that will be drawing me back. A solid five-star experience, Acorn is a hidden gem that deserves every bit of praise!

What a nice restaurant to have at a children's museum! What I expected was the $3 slices of pizza (nothing super special but decent, what I didn't expect was a yummy Mac and cheese dish on the kids menu (maybe $6?) which came with fruit and definitely not this beautiful bruschetta! It was a bit pricey but appreciated. Also can't beat the view, you get to eat with a water view and your kid is entertained watching turtles!

I really love that this place is available at the Children's Museum! Makes a morning playtime and lunch super simple, especially with a $3 slice of pizza and $5 Mac and cheese entrée available. The "adult" cuisine is always good, not really exceptional but still good! I got the shrimp tacos and they were not my fave. Will try the fried chicken sandwich next time even though it looked like a really heavy meal!

Located at the children's museum in city park. Food was amazing and well priced. Burger was good but small. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and the peach, prosciutto bruschetta was one of the best dishes I've had in a while.

Oh wow! Can you believe a place like this at a children's museum? I ordered the Bacon Citrus Bowl and they even make their own bacon! Who does that? Place has a great view, plenty of seating, great food selection, and high quality food. Parking though could be a challenge.

Excellent, freshly-prepared food that you may not expect to find connected to a children's museum. I spent approximately $70 feeding 1 adult and 4 children. Acorn would do well as a casual family restaurant even if it wasn't connected to LCM. I fed my kids at the end of the day after the museum had already closed and the staff could not have been more professional and helpful after a long day. Looking forward to our next visit.
