This cafe is one of the best place to eat a home style breakfast. Everything is freshly cooked upon order. I have been coming here for over fifty years. I have never had a bad or unsatisfying meal. The waitresses are old school and friendly. The only disadvantage is that they don’t take credit cards. I recommend this place to all my local and out of town family and friends.

Use to come here alot but it’s so trifling now. The place need a deep clean and it wasn’t fun watching the server cut bread with no gloves, touch her hair, rub her face, button her pants NO hand wash then Get right back to cutting bread. No one wears gloves. I literally tossed my entire plate.

It has “world famous” on the sign which makes it seem appealing but it did not live up to its name. The place can use an update, cleanliness is questionable and the food was not the best. 2/3 pancakes were burnt and the sausage wasn’t cooked fully so I ate around the rim. My husband enjoyed his omelette and the waitress (Danielle) was really good.

Always heard about this place. I finally had the pleasure of eating here. Atmosphere feels like an old school diner. The workers were so friendly and the portions were generous. I am very picky about my pancakes, but those buttermilk pancakes were delicious! My husband enjoyed his ham and cheese omelet, with his side of grits. Next time I'll try the grilled pork chop. It seemed to be very popular and it looked scrumptious.

The food -- pancakes -- was good. The service was poor. Workers very unfriendly except for one. The interior of the restaurant was not attractive. Felt dirty.

Man I had a taste for breakfast and this place here does me right every time I'm come!! Smothered Liver with onion and gravy with grits and scrambled eggs and a pancake on the side OMG!! I left happy and content! The waitress was sweet and funny the atmosphere remind me of a breakfast spot on the go..

Went in this morning to get some breakfast. Service was pretty slow but I wasn't in a hurry. Then I start hearing 2 waitresses and another male employee start yelling at each other. It escalated into full on yelling, name calling, curse words, other employees begging them to stop. Once the male employee went back into the back, the two female employees followed and kept yelling, and it got started up again. It went on for at least 10 minutes. I do not go to restaurants to be stressed by other people yelling at each other.

My first time at Anita's before going to the Saints game on Sunday. Instantly when you walk in, you smell the food. I ordered the eggs and bacon. The eggs and bacon comes with two eggs, three strips of bacon, hash browns, and toast. And it was delicious! The staff was friendly and the service was quick, but it is cash only. I will definitely be back!
