Came for jazz brunch with high expectations due to the fine dining price tag and overall reviews. Left extremely disappointed.
Inattentive service, took almost 30 minutes to be provided glasses of water and meet our server.
Food was a mixed bag. Some were ok, nothing stood out, while others were very substandard, almost airplane food like. (Veal was rubbery, shrimp arnaud had an unpleasant amount of wasabi in the sauce)
Not a lot of jazz happening, maybe more jazz happened earlier in the morning before noon.
Atmosphere and interiors have a historic charm though.
Overall, one of the most underwhelming service and food experience in the area.

Will is the best bartender. We came here multiple nights and were thrilled every time.

For the price, I was a bit let down by the Jazz Bistro. All the food was at least decent, but nothing that absolutely wowed me - presentation, service, and drinks were top notch, though. We ordered the escargot (seemed a bit overdone, lacking any snap), Shrimp Arnaud (tasty sauce),
Soufleé potatoes (puffy beignet-like potato nuggets, with tasty sauce), the Veal Tournedos Chantal (by far the best dish - cooked perfectly and the sauce was excellent; serving size was a unexpectedly larger serving than all other dishes; risotto tasted good but was a bit mushier than most I've had), and Breast of Duck Ellen (good, maybe a bit overcooked and dry? Very small portion). The cocktails, however, were superb - very well-balanced and I'd come back for them alone, which I can say for only a few bars in the city or elsewhere. We had the Merchant's Sour, the (?) Swizzle, French 75, and one other mezcal-based one - all were great. I was a bit disappointed that the offerings I had seen online were specific to the French 75 bar menu, and when I asked the waiter about a specific few I had been looking forward to, he said he wasn't sure, and admitted he was new, but didn't follow-up. Service was otherwise consistently quite good; water was kept topped off. The dining area, bathrooms, and lobbies were all beautiful, sparkling clean, and well-taken care of as well.
Not a huge complaint, but they seemed to make a big deal about the dress code, but when we arrived, we saw lots of men in shorts, some of whom spent their meal yelling and cackling loudly, loud enough to drown out the sounds of Bourbon Street just outside the wall beside us. It wasn't enough of a deal to start a confrontation - though the impromptu Sweet Caroline sing-along was a close, but I reminded myself that it's Saturday night at a restaurant situated on a corner of Bourbon Street - but they were incredibly disruptive.
The staff were fortunately accommodating for the delay we experienced by being trapped behind a second line looping the same area we were looking for parking, several blocks toward Rampart.

Avoid this overpriced tourist trap at all costs! Classic NOLA and nice atmosphere but the food was terrible and the service was rushed. Shrimp Creole was 12 tiny shrimp around a mound of bland rice topped by what tasted like Ragu spaghetti sauce. Flavorless. Service on a Saturday night was rushed to the extreme. Entrees arrived in 5 minutes. We were out of there in 45 min. NOLA has a lot more to offer than this dinosaur. On the positive side when the maitre de came by to check on us and we complained he comped the creole. Maybe the kitchen had a bad night but my wife’s redfish was just as bad.
This place has incredible service. Ask for Jasper because that guy is a KING. A one of a kind gem that was super attentive and friendly. You will not regret coming here!

Arnaud’s Jazz Bistro offers a casual but elegant taste of New Orleans. The food is amazing and the service most attentive. The icing on the proverbial cake was the live jazz music. Catie Rodgers’ soulful trumpet and vocals led the trio in just the right music to perfect the experience. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and the servers brought him an amazing birthday confection, flambé’d for a birthday wish . Arnaud’s stays right on top of our New Orleans highlights list!

Amazing service! The food and drinks were outstanding. The filet was cooked perfectly and the fish with crab meat was fresh and delicious. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again on our next trip to New Orleans

Arnaud’s Restaurant lives up to its reputation as a New Orleans institution. The service is warm and professional, the ingredients notably fresh, and the atmosphere historic yet elegant.
Live jazz adds a distinctive touch, highlighting the restaurant’s deep roots, while generations of family ownership clearly ensure consistent quality over time. Highly recommended.
