This place has excellent food but their kitchen always opens way later than they intend to. All you can get in the early hours is drinks. I've come here for their great food multiple times and been told the cook is late again, come back later. The bartenders are excellently lovely though, I love this spot overall, they just need to get their kitchen situation straightened out.

We were waiting for a table at Morrow's so came to Artisan for a drink. This is a very small, but clean and cute neighborhood bar. It definitely reminded me of some of the neighborhood bars in Chicago. We didn't try the food but they had some great sounding options. Our bartender, Cheryl, was fabulous and chatted with us for awhile. Multiple tvs around the bar and a bar with many options. Would highly recommend a visit.

Kevin, the bar tender, supplied us with our beverages! Made sure we didn't park in the wrong spot (which to me is elite in New Orleans) It's a dive bar that's a cool spot for a chill hang out.

Wooow!! This place is amazing. We came from Baton Rouge for the drag brunch and it was perfect. From the time we walked into the door, everyone was friendly and the show was AMAZING. My friends and I plan to make this a regular thing for our girls day out. I highly recommend that everyone come for the show and food.

We had a reservation for 10 for the drag brunch on Saturday. The actual entertainment and the coordination of the drag show would be 5 stars.. the table was set up and reserved upon arrival which was nice, because I wasn't sure if I needed to make a separate res after buying tickets. I tried to call several times and could never actually reach anyone, and the voicemail made me think that I had the wrong number. It is a small place, and every seat was filled, but they definitely should have had atleast one more server on staff. It took about 45 minutes for anyone to take our food order (& I had to request it because we did not have a server at all until after I went to the bar and asked when we would be greeted/waited on. All drinks had to be ordered from the bar if you actually wanted to have one. I ordered a Bloody Mary and after about 30 minutes, I finally just went to bar and got myself. The food was ok - a very limited menu and about what you would expect for a limited staff place. Drag brunch 5 stars, restaurant 2.5 stars. Overall experience 3 stars.

Cool spot on St. Claude! Chill vibe and great place to stop for some good bar food. Both drinks and food are decently priced. Nice place to stop by after work to have a drink and a bite or to catch up with friends on the weekend.

Their website said all are welcome, and the menu looked appealing, so our party of 3 popped in for an early dinner on Friday. Sat at a high top, and after being awkwardly ignored for about 15 minutes, dude reluctantly came over to take our order. In the middle of ordering drinks, asked my 18 year old if they were over 21. (He wanted a ginger ale.) At that point, we got the boot. The reason given was that no one under 21 is allowed in due to gambling equipment in the back room...? 1) We weren't convinced that was the real reason. What was the real reason? We could only imagine. 2) If that is the real reason, a basic sign on the door would have saved us all the trouble. So, be warned. Go somewhere else if you have a hungry under-21 in your party, apparently. We ended up eating great food at the St. Roch Market down the street, where we were greeted warmly and treated well. What a relief!

Great night at Artisan- dinner, drinks, and watch the Chewbacchus parade roll by. Suggest the chicken wings- big n meaty!

Bartenders are friendly and efficient. They really squeeze the lemons for the margaritas. The food was a decent price and good. They have specials on certain nights. The customers ( regulars) nice and all and all made you feel comfortable there .When in town again will definitely visit.Go Saints from a Vikings fan back home in Minnesota.

We needed to kill some time before our reservations & came across this place, we came inside & sat at the table near the bar, the place was empty which was only surprising because we ended up having a good time here. we got some drinks, vodka & seltzer for me, beers, shots ... all decent. we also got an order to the wings they were very good, nice tasting sauce good choice for a bite to eat while drinking. The older gentlemen that was bartending was so nice, he was alone so he was doing it all. Decent looking bar, good vibe we enjoyed our drinks & wings.

Excellent food and service! The Drag Brunch was my first experience with The Artisan Cafe, & because I had such a warm and inviting experience that day, I just came back again with a date! The staff makes you feel like family!
