Excellent selection of Bourbon and knowledgeable manager/owner. Favorite restaurant we visited in NOLA. Food was served quick, service was exactly as we would have wanted - servers there when needed and scarce when just enjoying the food and conversation. Food itself was great but also expectedly so from a Michelin reviewed restaurant.

This weekend we ate at Commander’s Palace, Cochon, Jacques-Imo’s and Atchafalaya. Atchafalaya was hands down the best of them all for food especially but also for service and ambience. Their gumbo is still the best of any weve had anywhere we can remember — all 4 of us dining agreed. Their shrimp and grits is so rich, so complex, so flavorful - you just feel rewarded for ordering it. My old fashioned was a generous pour, strong and I opted to skip further alcohol. The bread pudding was crazy delicious with a caramel like sauce that made it almost as good as the bread pudding at Commanders. But wait, there’s more. Dining at Atchafalaya means interacting with 5 or 6 wait staff and every one is personable and engages you in fun repartee. Ditto the maitre’d. And such a comfortable, beautiful and cozy room to dine in. We’ve been eating here every time we come to New Orleans, its the best kept secret in the city.

I usually love Atchafalaya and make sure that I eat there every time I visit NO, but this time was just mid. We sat at the bar, and the service were received was lethargic and uninterested. We did visit a few days after Fat Tuesday, so maybe that was the reason. We will be back for the great food and service we usually receive. The bread pudding was the driest I’ve ever eaten. Zero moisture.

OMG! Fried green tomatoes and kaie, strawberries, goat cheese salad kicked off meal so well!!! Fried oyster off charts too! Entrees were good but app were the stand out! Food overall was outstanding . The service was seriously struggling especially with bar service and drink orders. we ended up sitting at the bar and saw this hiccup is the process. Felt the price fior the quality was a great fit! Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back soon n another vacation! Ambiance special w live music and friendly customers and lovely hostess!
As always, Atchafalaya was incredible! We have moved from New Orleans, but were visiting with four other couples. We always make a point to eat at Atchafalaya when we're in town and love when we get to introduce it to others. The food and service were amazing, but we knew they would be. One thing that makes Atchafalaya so fantastic is that you never have to wonder if it will be an "off" day. It is always consistent! Plus, we can return to our old favorites or try one of the exciting new dishes they offer. Another great thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. One can stop by for a meal before a ball in their forma attire or show up in jeans. Both look completely in place there. It's just overall a fabulous establishment for any occasion. See you at Mardi Gras!
Outstanding. A must-visit for locals or visitors. The service was amazing - HD was our server and she was incredibly warm and helpful when I asked for more suggestions for other large party spots
Food lacked true NOLA flavor but maybe I'm not their preferred clientele. It was a nice experience, once seated, staff appeared friendly and eager to help. The food fell short in my opinion, but the drinks definitely elevated the experience.
Classic New Orleans cuisine in a beautiful building near the garden district. Warm and friendly service and good atmosphere. Lots of nice drinks options. Classic NOLA cuisine. We enjoyed the shrimp and grits especially. Recommended.
really good food, the service was also very professional, but also giving you a sense of the southern hospitality. 100% recommend.
We screwed up the reservation time because of a time difference. Hostess could not have been nicer. Our server, Kelly was incredibly helpful. Wonderful experience. Cocktails and food delish. 10 out of 10

The dining room (in a house) was nice - intimate, cozy and I loved the paintings on the wall. I had the duck confit and it was delicious...paired with a cote du Rhône and I was a very happy diner.
The service was outstanding. We never had to ask for anything. Our server was always a step ahead. The Duck and Raviolo was my fav!! And I love the espresso/sugar rum on the expresso martini. Not too sweet yet complimented the drink perfectly.
Everything was great. Told the concierge it should be recommended to visitors. Food, price point, service, all excellent.
We had a delicious meal in such an inviting space. Our waiter could not have been more attentive. He described the dishes well and gave good advice about what to order when we asked. The food and drinks were... simply wonderful. This was a birthday celebration and I'll always remember it as a highlight special occasion.
The food, as always was delicious! I had the Duck hash, something I would never make at home. It was so flavorful. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly.
