My husband and I brought a friend from out of town for Sunday brunch because the clubhouse is in such a beautiful setting and due to the Brennan name. We waited 10 minutes for someone to seat us and then waited an hour for our food. The waitress did apologize and say there was a mix-up and offered soup or dessert. When the food arrived my crab benedict had hard boiled eggs and it was cold. The cobb salad our guest had was dry, with hardly any dressing and looked like someone through a bunch of lettuce in a bowl with some chicken on top. My husband's shrimp was the only meal that was decent. We did not get soup or dessert, but after complaining about my eggs, the manager brought me a new egg - too late though, and took the entrees off our bill, which was nice. With all the great restaurants in New Orleans, dining here was a huge disappointment.

I really hate to leave a negative review but this meal was very disappointing. The food was served lukewarm, not hot, and was just not good. All 4 entrees we ordered were mediocre in flavor at best. We also ordered the fried oyster appetizer which were barely warm and just not tasty. The fried deviled eggs were the best part of the meal. It was very disappointing. The atmosphere and setting was beautiful.

Made a reservation on Open Table for 6:00 pm and chose standard seating. Got to the Clubhouse and was told there was an error in Open Table, was not supposed to list any reservations at 6:00 and beyond. Told the entire restaurant was booked for the Tulane football crowd. We ended up seated in the bar. The food was good, but for a hot dish, ,The Tchfuncte (sp?) shrimp the shrimp was hot, the sauce over it was cool, and the rice barely warm. Made for a unsatisfying meal.

Atmosphere is great but that is best part of retaurant. Drinks were food. Service was slow even though not many people there. They served no bread! which is a crime. Food not great and menu not very extensive. As a new orleans native, the dickie brennan restaurants are not very good. Many, many more that are better. Avoid unless just having drinks and enjoying the space.

As always the food and service was great, but the restaurant was very accommodating, as we had booked a table outside on the patio but one of our party was chilly in the breeze, and they reseated us inside. We appreciated it!

Food was not what you expect at a Brennan's restaurant Shrimp salad had 5 shrimp on it and the lettuce was old and browning

This is a great place to have lunch or brunch. We always try to have at least one meal here whenever we visit New Orleans. We try to get a table on the veranda for the view and relaxing atmosphere. The service is great and the food is excellent. I really like the bloody mary.

Waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the table. We waited over 40 minutes for breakfast food. It was cold when it arrived. The waitress seemed stressed out and bothered by our presence. This only changed once she presented us with the check and asked us to forget today's experience and to come back again at a less busy time. Skip the food. Have a drink on the porch.

Something for everyone for lunch. Carryover items like crawfish cheesecake from Palace Cafe were currently on special due to the temporary (hopefully) closure of the sister Canal St restaurant. Always a great view from the covered porch to watch the birds, squirrels, and of course the local golfers. Don't plan on a quick bite here, as service is more unrushed and allows you time to catch-uo with friends and have uninterrupted time. The food is worth the wait. Add sides like hanger steak to your Ceasars salad and save room for dessert! Full bar and drink specials during the week.

October 16, 2025 was my first visit to the Clubhouse since the early days after it opened. Dickie has firmly established his high standards of service and food quality. We were a large family group, and we were graciously accommodated. Daryanna set us up on the porch, and it was a beautiful, cool day. Rachel is a real pro, and her service was every bit up to Dickie's standards. The Clubhouse is an excellent Uptown dining option.

I have attempted breakfast here on two occasions and sadly the breakfast entree of grits and scrambled eggs was inedible due to excessive black pepper. This basic meal preparation is a disgrace to Brennan name and reputation. Marvel
