Had an outstanding dinner last night at Avo! Started with Golden beet and Burrata sprinkled with candied walnuts delish! Then shared the Arugala pear salad with crispy prosciutto and crumbled Gorgonzola, amazing! Highlight was between my truffle mushroom fettuccine, that was so light and delicate it danced, and my decadent chocolate brownie with the perfect amount of ice cream. Melting on top. Mel was attentive and pleasant. We will be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed this place. Plenty of good Italian places in the area but this was really good. Not a lot of tables in the place and well staffed so the service was awesome and our food came out quite promptly. Great flavors on the food. We both had pastas and loved them a lot. Also the lemon Italian ice dessert was VERY refreshing and tasty.

We just moved back to NO and wow! what a wonderful experience we had on our Wednesday random visit to Avo. The food was extraordinary (tuna crudo app, redfish, bistro filet, gelato) as were the cocktails! Service was superb as well! It will be one of our regular places to go now that we've discovered this gem!!
