Very cute atmosphere with good music, but the menu left something to be desired. The shrimp did not seem fresh and the pasta was overpriced and lacked flavor

Fantastic place to while away the afternoon. Bottle shop lets you drink purchased product in the courtyard. Live music makes the atmosphere very pleasant. Worth splitting a bottle of wine and enjoying for an hour or two.

In desperate need of a low-key quiet atmosphere in New Orleans, this place hit the spot.Quaint, quiet, some chill live music and some decent wine which is a major challenge in NOLO.Not a huge fan of the self-service wine and cheese board but it worked! Nice outdoor patio.

The vibes here are immaculate. Feels like a back yard party in the best way. Excellent wine selection, and love the build your own charcuterie option. The person who helped us had some very helpful pointers and recommendations for us based on what we were looking for. Our original plan was to stay across town in the Garden District and we wound up changing at the last minute to staying in Bywater. So glad we did because that is what led us to Bacchanal!
We love spending a warm afternoon at Bacchanal any time we are in town. They have a fantastic selection of wines, bubbly, cheeses, and other snacks. The employees are very helpful in making selections and the backyard has such a wonderful vibe!

Great music, great food, great vibes. With only one night left in New Orleans, we debated going to Frenchmen Street for live music, but so glad we decided to make the trek to Bacchanal. Very charming, laid back atmosphere with friendly service. Love the self serve backyard patio concept. Find a table and seat yourself, order food at the window or go inside to choose from a selection of meats and cheeses and they will plate it for you for a small fee which includes bread, olives, pickles, and other charcuterie items. They had a limited menu of hot foods including steak and grilled fish that all looked good. We opted for a cheese board and enjoyed it. We went early on a weekday evening and it was starting to fill up, but never felt too crowded or cramped. The patio is airy and spacious and the weather was perfect for sitting outside. There were a couple of open tables when we arrived around 6:30pm so we were able to sit right away. There is also indoor seating upstairs and standing room overlooking the backyard. Street parking is free and there is an area right outside in front of the old base with a row of parking spots. It sounds like parking and seating can be a challenge on the weekends, so come early! Overall a wonderful, relaxing experience and a great way to end our time in New Orleans.

I used to love this place. Was disappointed as the buzz I remember from a few years back is dead. Live music ended at 9:30p on a weekend, cashiers seemed annoyed and too busy to answer questions. Food options limited but plating is generous with bread and an addictive chutney. Hoping we just hit a dud night, but not planning to make the trek back anytime soon.
