Don’t leave this small corner restaurant off your list. The authentic food is amazing, and you will not taste the same food twice. Drinks are great and presentation is on point. Staff take care of you as if you were in their home.

Menu looked great, wish we could have tried some of it. Made a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday to celebrate my partner’s birthday. When we showed up it was medium busy but most of the inside tables were empty. We sat for about 10 minutes and when the server came over to take our drink order, informed us they were out of a few of the entrees, which was not a problem. She left and maybe another 10 minutes later another server came over to take our order and when I ordered what I wanted she said they were out of that. Then proceeded to tell us they were out of basically everything. When we asked what do you have she said “avocados” and kind of laughed, didn’t offer any kind of apology or future explanation. My partner asked if she was serious and she just kind of shrugged so we got up and left. For charging $40 an entree, I would have expected more from the service and atmosphere. Again, I would have loved to try the food because it sounded great and is close to our house but I don’t think I will be back.

Recent menu changes are not good. No more cordero slider (my favorite ) on the happy hour menu, and the ones on the main menu are way overpriced. Happy hour wine is now $8 for a very small pour.
Amazing food and service. We came in with a group of 7 for happy hour! They had small plate items and drinks for $8 each. As a vegetarian, I had several options to choose from. I really enjoyed the empanada

We went to the restaurant at eight Monday night, and the staff seemed to want to leave for the evening. My date had the whole broiled fish with rice and I had braised beef over rice with plantains in black beans. It seemed fresh and tasted well, but something did not agree with me. I had stomach cramps the next morning and constantly went to the bathroom until Thursday. We left New Orleans Friday morning.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since 2007 - when they first opened. It’s one of my go to places. Food is good, consistent - I always enjoy the service. This evening I had a very concerning experience. I ordered a drink to go at the bar and paid with cash. I watched the bartender as he counted the money from the drawer to give back to me. I then counted the change and noticed that he intentionally short changed me. I confronted him. He answered very nonchalantly, yeah you know that my tip. I was not in the mood to argue with this entitled jerk, so I left. I have 2 things to say: 1. This is a theft. This guy thinks it is ok to take my cash hoping that I would not count my change. Who else is stealing customer’s money at this restaurant. 2. I am a good tipper. If he had not stolen from me, he would have received much more than he stole. It is a shame. I doubt that I will return. We had a good run.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I try to visit every time I come to down and it has never let me down. My only frustration is that the Chuzos, the Arepas, and Traditio Ceviche are so good that I almost never get to try anything else! Seriously, this place is wonderful, the food is delicious and surprising, the cocktails are excellent, and the staff is very friendly. I'd recommend a reservation on the weekends.
