I love this establishment and have frequented it for over 10 years. Chef Xavier is the best and I feel that I am spiritually at home in his restaurant.

What can I say about this place? This is truly a hidden gem, tucked away in small street in Nola. Everything we ordered was amazing. And the owner was there to serve and offer his great personality. This will be a must go every time we go to Nola.

My wife and I have eaten Tapas many times and in many places (including in a coastal town not far from Barcelona)! We very much enjoy the casual style of dining and the mix of different dishes with good wine. Our experience at Barcelona Tapas was wonderful! We ate the garlic tomato bread with manchego cheese, garlic crimini mushrooms, garlic shrimp, garlic chicken casserole, chorizo in sherry casserole, and the meat paella. All accompanied by plenty of sangria and followed by the vanilla flan. The flavours were so rich I had to literally force myself not to order more dishes even though I was full (as we're the other 3 guests). Chef Xavier Laurentino was a great host and I can honestly say that this was the most enjoyable/best meal I've had in a long time. One oddity, they only take cash but there is a cash machine onsite.

I love this place and the jovial owner is usually there to greet and speak with you when he is not too busy. This is the BEST and most Spanish of all of the Tapas places in NOLA and since the owner is from Barcelona, Spain that probably helps. Chef Laurentino recently built a patio in the back that will be very nice to enjoy in the Fall. They have the most tender and amazing calamari I've ever had anywhere in the world and I've never had anything but great food here. It can be a bit more expensive than I would like to eat here alone but if you have a group (and this food is meant to be enjoyed with others) it becomes affordable. I've had many great times with small and large groups in here. The sangria pitchers keep the excitement going along with the exquisite use of garlic. I LOVE the garlic soup and want to just have an IV of it in me always.Currently they are cash only and they do have an ATM on site but you should probably make sure everyone in your party gets some smaller bills before you arrive to ensure you can more accurately pay your bill (especially if you are dividing it up between multiple diner.Good Food, Good Times & Good People!!!!

Four of us ate there Friday night, a combination of tapas and a seafood paella to share. The owner also waits the tables, so be prepared to relax. The paella was exquisite, one of the best I've ever had. We shared a bottle of the house white, an albarino. The food was all delicious! The owner is so gracious and aims to please. Excellent value for the money.

I had a wonderful experience at Barcelona Tapas! This is one of my new favorite restaurants in New Orleans and I plan to eat here again, many times. The chef, Xavier Laurentino, hand-delivered the food to our table and was very friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was AMAZING. We ordered the chicken, garlic mushrooms, grilled calamari, gouda and manchego, and patatas bravas. The chicken and mushrooms were sizzling when they arrived at our table, and they were stellar. The patatas bravas and calamari were spectacular as well. I want to try the whole menu. You can really taste the attention to detail Xavier puts into each dish. The sangria was the perfect addition to our perfect meal.Thank you, Barcelona Tapas, for giving us such a special anniversary dinner!

Chef Xavier is wonderful! The black paella is one of my favorites because it has a unique taste. You have to try his garlic tomato bread with mozzarella! Delicious! And if you have room for dessert, the flan sinful!
