Barracuda Taco Stand

Great tacos, horrendous service. I placed an order online. It gave me a really long time to be ready. I showed up early and waited patiently. I watched guests come in, place their order, get their food and leave without hearing that mine was ready. I watched 2 employees eat ice cream cones in the kitchen. Multiple employees on their phones, and several what seemed to be supervisors, at least they were doing inventory, ignoring everything.
I received my notification that my food was ready from toast. I inquired about it. Was told they were packaging up my food then and would call my name. I waited, and waited, and waited. 2 more guests ordered to go food and received it during this period. I asked again, and miraculously my food was ready, yet I never heard my name.
If you are going to have an open kitchen, instruct your employees to take breaks away from the eyes of customers. If you say something is ready, then it should be ready. Now, I've got cold food from it sitting there unattended while ice cream was being consumed instead.
The priority of the staff was lacking greatly today. I think they forgot what the job actually entails, or is the culture you create?

I love the food here, but the service gave me a bad enough experience that I may not ever come back .

These tacos are so good, I had to bring my husband. The very next day, because he is a show-off, he had to bring me back again with his cousin. Then she said she will bring two of her good friends as soon as she gets a chance. Needless to say, these tacos are the best!! 5 out of 5 stars.

I’ve heard so many good things about this place. I finally decided to try them out and was not disappointed! The chicken tacos and guava ginger limeade were delicious. I’m happy to have found a new taco spot with great food, prices and good vibes.

Small menu, but everything hits perfectly. I had all the meat tacos — beef, chicken, and pork — and each was packed with flavor. The quesadilla was a bit greasy but super tasty. Highly recommend.

This is what tacos were meant to be. I’ve had tacos in over 20 different countries and none have beaten these. Michelin messed up when they didn’t give three stars here

Street parking level difficult. Walk in, order at window , get number , find table , food is delivered to the table. Has commodity station for napkins and utensils. Culture vibe check is on point. Open to all including kids and pets. Food is decent. Drinks are refreshing. Outdoor seating. Clean.

Man, me and my wife are obsessed with their breakfast tacos but just came to say they sneakily made them smaller and I think that’s pretty lame. So just be aware.

My 1st time here, definitely won’t be my last. The food, the staff, the atmosphere was just what I needed for a Friday lunch with Cameron. 2 tacos each, guac, queso and a Mexican coke- all delicious. The cherry on this meal was meeting the coolest resident rooster named Billy. And the fact that you can bring dogs, next we we said we’d walk around Audubon park with Louie and have lunch here after.

Nice place that I discovered on Tchoupitoulas. Atmosphere was call with a real outdoor vibe. The menu was really simple and the food was delicious. Definitely will be going back there again.
