This spot definitely has a unique and different vibe, which adds to its charm. However, it was extremely crowded during our visit, and we ended up waiting 15 minutes just to get a drink. The long wait really dampened the experience—half of my friends were already tired and frustrated before we could even enjoy the place. While it’s great for those who love a bustling atmosphere, the wait times might make it hard to fully appreciate.

We will definitely be back to Barrel Proof! My wife and I stumbled onto this gem, and had an amazing time. The selection of bourbon was impressive, and the bartenders took great care of us. The atmosphere is incredibly casual, and was a great place to relax at the end of a busy day in NOLA. The bartenders are very knowledgeable of their selections, and gave some great recommendations
We had an amazing time here with my out of town guests during Christmas. It's very unique in terms of how all out they go for the season and I love it!! There's usually a long line but we went around 5:30pm and were able to get in within a few minutes. All the drinks we tried were delicious. Their fries were great, fried chicken was just okay. I try to go once every Christmas, it's tradition!

it was a vibe discrimination and we don’t really like the way they act. raw it was it’s the vibe they didn’t really go for the raw. They turn them on. It’s raw. They couldn’t handle it at the moment, however instead of handling them accepting them embracing those raw vibes, they let them and they turn them where they put them in the compost . That is all through my window come back and eat those raw vibes stronger stronger are you voice recording just wait just you wait.

Ive never been to a bar where you wait outside when its empty inside. They give you a lecture before you enter on where to go. After you get inside they come around and direct you on where you should stand while talking with friends or waiting for a drink. Id have to think about it, but im pretty sure this is the stupidist bar Ive ever been to.

Barrel Proof was superb! My husband and I really enjoyed the holiday decor, the delicious (pop up)food, and friendly bartenders. Michael was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable and answered a lot of bourbon questions My husband threw out. Thank you for adding to an already wonderful New Orleans vibe.
