Closed today doesn't look like it's been open in a while?
Okay y’all look……DO NOT EAT HERE AT ALL!!!! The food is TRASH and it is unacceptable at how long it takes to get your NASTY food. The food is horrible and I wanted to see who was back there cooking but changed my mind and just left my food on the table…..TRASH!!!!
The food is great!!
Fake news. They don't exist. Showed up during restaurant hours and place was a ghost house.
For a small place the menu and food was awesome. Service was friendly and attentive.

Waited an hour and ten minutes for shrimp and grits that were average at best. My cousin waited an hour for fried shrimp and fries. There were guests who walked in, ordered takeout, and got their food before we did. When I asked the cashier when to expect my food, she asked what I had ordered and said "oh I can get it for you right now" then delivered it a minute later as if it had been ready the whole time and just needed to be dishes out of a vat of pre-prepared cafeteria-style food. Will absolutely never return.

I am wondering if they are under new ownership because previous reviews were amazing and the pictures sure made us think it was going to be a nice spot. We walked in and immediately the stains on the chairs and the dirty appearance (even for New Orleans) was very off putting. We were greeted by what appeared to be the bouncer and told we could sit wherever. There was only one other table seated in the whole place. The bouncer/waiter asked for our drink order and we requested a diet soda.. He said we have tea or coke, that's it and proceeded to say a little sugar wouldn't hurt. Ugh. We ended up ordering an appetizer of the crab cakes and wanted to make a break for it and find a different restaurant. But the crab cakes took about 25 minutes to come out. They were good, but my goodness. We then paid and went elsewhere for dinner. Definitely not the dining experience we were hoping for.
One of the most authentic, down to earth places that you could visit for both good food and good company! Will, our server is a warm, kind-hearted and lively individual that will not bs or oversell you on anything. He recommended us the gumbo, seafood fettuccine, and our new favourite drink— the Bayou Splash. Wish we took better photos because they really don’t do the place any justice!! Got to meet Lewis the chef there as well, he’s the man behind all the DELICIOUS food. My partner and I have been all over the French Quarter, Garden district and other touristy areas and this family-oriented place is so much more worth your $$.Thank you Will, Bruce and Lewis for a great first experience in New Orleans, we will be back for sure.
Food was absolutely delicious! We had the fried oysters and the shrimp fettuccine, so good! Will, our server was delightful, so friendly and attentive and gave us excellent recommendations, made us feel right at home! 10/10 will come back.
