We went for the drinks and was really blown away by the food. This is a place you have to sit at the bar and let the bartenders know you with their knowledge of cocktails and storytelling. Also be on the lookout for the beachbum he is always popping in

On a recent trip, we ate there 3 times in 4 days - it's that good. I still fantasize about the Missionary's Downfall too, it's the perfect treat on a hot, humid NoLa day.

"Latitude 29 isn’t just a tiki bar—it’s an experience. I came to New Orleans for world-class food and jazz, and somehow, this spot delivered both in its own way. The drinks? Absolute perfection. The Pontchartrain Pearl Diver and the Hawaii Five-0-Four were expertly crafted, balanced, and dangerously delicious. But the real surprise? The food was so good, it rivaled the best meals I had all weekend. In a city where great food is everywhere, that’s saying something....
