Best restaurant I have ever been too. The food was to die for. Service was incredible. I loved it so much. Definitely get the mushroom gnocchi because I have dreams about it. I got it as an appetizer. We also got the steak sandwich and fries which was amazing. The redfish as well was delicious.

I had an incredible experience at Beggars Banquet! I ordered the steak frites and it was hands down the best steak I’ve tasted in town perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was top notch, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. My whole family and friends enjoyed every appetizer and main dish we tried. everything was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!

This place should get more press. Great food in a beautiful space. Fried green tomatoes, spicy cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and the gnocchi dish were all perfect. But the hidden star here might be the cocktail menu, inventive without being weird, I recognized the roots of the classics but appreciated the unfamiliar directions they went. Some had savory touches too, all with great balance. A very nice night out.

This was one of the best brunch experiences I've had in New Orleans. A beautiful space on the unassuming end of Prytania Street. The decor is not only beautiful, but quirky, thoughtful, and hilarious. When the owner is there to greet guests, is friendly, and approachable, you know you are in a special place. We had the grilled banana bread, short rib benedict, redfish and grits. Everything was absolutely delicious. We opted to sit at the bar and was served by Josa. He made excellent recommendations and wonderful cocktails. We can't wait to go back for dinner
Thank you for an amazing experience!

Beggar's Banquet has become our favorite restaurant in New Orleans, which is quite a compliment in this town. The food, decor, and service are all excellent. It's the kind of place that makes you just want to keep coming back, which we do, for dinner or brunch. Truly excellent!

If you haven't tried Beggars Banquet, you are missing out on one of the BEST brunch spots in New Orleans!!! I have been to most brunch spots in my city (unless it opened after 2023) because brunch is what I do! Had a great time with my friends celebrating my birthday (plenty of eating and drinking during my trip). The cocktails were just ad tasty as the food. I will be back!

Beggars Banquet is the kind of brunch spot that makes you wonder why you ever eat breakfast at home. We met our dear friends here for a Sunday feast, and—pro tip—reservations are your golden ticket. The interior is charmingly whimsical (yes, even the bathrooms deserve a mention), with cozy tables, warm light, and just enough greenery to feel like you’ve stumbled into someone’s stylish living room.
The service? Friendly, efficient, and perfectly paced—never a moment of “where’s my coffee?” panic. The menu may be compact, but every dish feels like it’s been dreamed up by someone with a flair for indulgence and a wink toward tradition.
Our friends scored the coveted banana bread with maple bacon butter before it sold out (rookie mistake on our part—note to self: arrive early). We started with crispy calamari and fried green tomatoes paired with a luscious slice of burrata—both dangerously snackable.
When it came to mains, our table went all in: steak and eggs, a decadent Bananas Foster French toast (seriously, try it before you die so you can go happy), and two takes on eggs Benedict—one crowned with fresh crab, the other with tender brisket. Just because it's New Orleans we had to try the as ago grits which were decadently divine. Every plate was absurdly, unapologetically delicious.
Street parking was a breeze, the location is central for the metro area, and I’m already plotting my return. Beggars Banquet isn’t just brunch—it’s a full-on mood, and I’m grateful to have been introduced to this little gem!

You must go here. Great food & service (thanks Ann Marie). Started with the crispy calamari served with deliciously hot capers & peppers. For the main, the fresh market fish (drum that day) was absolutely superb, paired expertly with oyster mushrooms in a white wine garlic sauce. Those having the prix fixe raved about the salad (look for the ciabatta croutons that surprisingly heavenly), the black drum, and their desserts. Our resident vegetarian spoke highly of the gnocchi with mushrooms in cream sauce. If you've not been, add it to your list.

I selfishly want to tell you not to go here, so I can continue to get into one of the best, underrated restaurants in near Garden. Two visits, flawless everything.
