Love Berthas came to visit from Houston, I was there the weekend before the end of Mardi Gras 2024 great food good crowd and music just authentic local New Orleans vibe will be back !
Very chill/cool spot. The deejay is on it BUT if you've never been to plaxe like this before order the Pint of liquor and make your own drinks because the bottles behind the bar are very much watered down. I ordered Beefeater (gin) and instantly knew after tasting that the bottle had water in it but I didn't feel like fighting and just left.
Good dranks Real Good people Real Good music Very Good food. Grown folks doing Grown folk thangs. Open until 3 am. Not for silly scary ppl that cant hold their liquor or those who don't know how to act. A must visit when you are in New O for Bourbon St....but...you already did that.Bertha's is one of the hidden gems in New O and can possibly be the highlight of your night. Make sure you get you a plate or 2 before the kitchen closes!! Everything is real real good!!
