Waitress was friendly but food was very mediocre. Eggs undercooked and hash browns were old and stale. Older waitress was very rude and unfriendly. And the signs all over for extra charges for everything with the scolding sign on the table for raising prices is very off putting. Sadly I believe thier best days are behind them

I was REALLY hoping for a true chicken fried steak. I'm from Texas and haven't had one since I left 10 years ago lol. This one was just okay. I'm not sure what happened with the gravy. It was very thin and had chunks of what I think was corn starch. The Mac n cheese tastes like Kraft. I'm still going to come back and try other things though!

I love the pancakes here. It's not downtown, but close enough to stop and eat at on the way to the Dome or SK Center.

In town for my birthday weekend and the hotel staff recommend Betsy's. Was dissatisfied and disappointed in whole experience. Food was done as basic and unseasoned as possible. The omelet was basically a scrambled egg with stuff in it. My granddaughters could have done a better job and they don't cook. Waitress was rude and unassuming. Took the wrong order and tried to get my wife and I to switch plates. Unbelievable. Parking was unusual due to no parking lot. Just find a spot that looks available. On the street. They seem to be old fashioned and had alot of customers. However they appeared to be enjoying their experience. Maybe because they were locals and used to that sort of eating and dining.

Food is fresh and delicious, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered the silver dollar pancakes for my 3 year old grand baby and they were the size of regular pancakes and the regular pancakes are the size of a full dinner plate. However, service is a bit slow and the dining room could use a remodel but it has local flare. Overall it was a great experience and I will return when I am visiting NOLA again.

After all these years, I still don't see a black waitress. I was embarrassed by this during Essence Festival. Racism is still up front at Betty's. I can't recommend this place.

good food...great portions ...and great service not much else to say you'll never go wrong for breakfast or lunch with betsy's, they are easy to get to and consistently never had a bad meal from them.
