Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive. She was friendly and talkative. One of the other waitresses (wearing a headset) that seemed to be in charge, was LOUDLY letting everyone know what a bad day she was having and how people better not mess with her today. Super unprofessional. I didn't come to your restaurant to listen to you complain about your job. We had high hopes for our food but it was pretty horrible. The chicken fried steak was obviously frozen. It was like what you'd get in elementary school. I got scrambled eggs with cheese and they just threw a piece of sliced cheese on 1/2 of the eggs. My husband's red beans and rice was flavorless. The spicy sausage he ordered want spicy at all. We were so disappointed :(

We stopped there just before boarding a cruise to get a little breakfast, big mistake! The service was extremely slow and the food was not worth the wait, unfortunately. It took a long time to be waited on, even longer for the good to come. My pancakes and bacon were served cold and the grits were lumpy. This is a family owned business with hired relatives running the place, and it shows, as no one else would tolerate the poor service of the staff. The place was packed, but servers couldn’t move any slower if they tried. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Food and portions were good, service was a little slow but good when we asked for it, ( need to ask for something, they didn't check to see if we need anything), but the food was great. Would definitely eat here again, but expect a little bit slower service.

We regularly travel to NOLA from Gulfport, MS to go to the VA hospital. Someone at the VA recommended here. We were immediately acknowledged and seated. Order taken promptly and received as ordered. The omelets were very good. The service was exceptional. The courtesy was off the charts. At least 4 employees spoke to us as we we leaving. We'll be back. Hell, I may drive the 70 miles just to get lunch.

Hands down the best stop for food we had made! Home-cooked food straight from a mawmaw's own recipes, great service, locals willing to chat and help us find sites and hidden gems, all around amazing experience! The stuffed French toast is absolutely amazing! Definitely became my favorite place in NOLA for food!

The food wasn't as good as I've heard. The pancakes were the best thing on the menu. Steak is rubbery, hash was cold. Won't go there again.

Waitress was friendly but food was very mediocre. Eggs undercooked and hash browns were old and stale. Older waitress was very rude and unfriendly. And the signs all over for extra charges for everything with the scolding sign on the table for raising prices is very off putting. Sadly I believe thier best days are behind them

I was REALLY hoping for a true chicken fried steak. I'm from Texas and haven't had one since I left 10 years ago lol. This one was just okay. I'm not sure what happened with the gravy. It was very thin and had chunks of what I think was corn starch. The Mac n cheese tastes like Kraft. I'm still going to come back and try other things though!

If you enjoy an unprofessional atmosphere with young servers climbing on furniture and cursing at each other, this is the place for you. The food was good but the atmosphere was horrible. One of the female workers kept climbing on furniture to wipe a mirror that was already clean. She cursed at the other workers.

I love the pancakes here. It's not downtown, but close enough to stop and eat at on the way to the Dome or SK Center.

In town for my birthday weekend and the hotel staff recommend Betsy's. Was dissatisfied and disappointed in whole experience. Food was done as basic and unseasoned as possible. The omelet was basically a scrambled egg with stuff in it. My granddaughters could have done a better job and they don't cook. Waitress was rude and unassuming. Took the wrong order and tried to get my wife and I to switch plates. Unbelievable. Parking was unusual due to no parking lot. Just find a spot that looks available. On the street. They seem to be old fashioned and had alot of customers. However they appeared to be enjoying their experience. Maybe because they were locals and used to that sort of eating and dining.
