A small but classy sushi bar on Magazine Street in Lower Garden near the St. Vincent. There really aren't that many sushi places in NOLA, but it's good to have this one in the neighborhood. Very friendly sushi chefs here. It's very popular with folks in the area. The menu is quite unique with prepared sushi plates as well as nigiri. They even had stone crabs as a special the night I visited.

This one is tough because the sushi is excellent here and I feel like it is a bit of a hidden gem- but it is very inconsistent; menu items can taste completely different depending on who is working. The drinks are good but on the pricier side, and service is usually just ok at best. They also tack on a 4-5% credit card fee which always seems high to me, idk if that is petty but I am really not a fan of hidden charges. Overall would still definitely recommend if you are in the area and want sushi

The most unbelievable sushi I’ve ever had. We’ve been here at least 5 times and every time is better than the last.
Make sure to sit at the sushi bar and order from the chefs. They will take great care of you! Their Uni butter is insane.
Cannot recommend this place more!

Wow, I am blown away. I have been to Bisutoro a few times before, it’s always been delicious, fresh, and clean in a modern atmosphere. I came today for a birthday lunch and they took incredible care of me!! Everything was excellent and the service was above and beyond. It was a special and memorable celebration.

This is my new favorite sushi place in New Orleans! Service was great and very personal. We sat at the sushi counter. Fish was SO fresh. Specials were awesome. The monkfish liver pate was amazing. My favorite had to be the scallop. We will definitely return!!

Definitely in my top three for sushi in New Orleans. Excellent temaki, great deal too. The rolls and sashimi-style plates are also inventive. Fantastic sake selection and fresh wasabi available on request. Highly recommended, and I’ll be back for those temaki for sure!

Sushi was mid. Nothing spectacular and surprisingly not as filling as I’d hope. I get it, a minimal look for menu looks great.. but not with so many items and small fonts bunched up. The place itself is small but nice. Mostly bar seating, some tables not many. We made a reservation online (which includes $30 charge if you cancel). We arrive, no host stand, walk in and stand there awkwardly til waitress can seat you. Sushi chefs were nice and that would be who takes your order if you sit close to the sushi bar. Bartender will take your drink orders. We asked for waters to start, it wasn’t really busy at all when we arrived but we never got our waters til we asked again when we got our appetizers. Vibes are indeed weird. I was confused if we even had a waitress, no one checked up on us. Chefs handed us our food. We had to ask one of the chefs for our check, even then it took a min for us to receive it and get change for it. I unfortunately left still hungry and unsatisfied with my first/last experience here.
