Sushi was mid. Nothing spectacular and surprisingly not as filling as I’d hope. I get it, a minimal look for menu looks great.. but not with so many items and small fonts bunched up. The place itself is small but nice. Mostly bar seating, some tables not many. We made a reservation online (which includes $30 charge if you cancel). We arrive, no host stand, walk in and stand there awkwardly til waitress can seat you. Sushi chefs were nice and that would be who takes your order if you sit close to the sushi bar. Bartender will take your drink orders. We asked for waters to start, it wasn’t really busy at all when we arrived but we never got our waters til we asked again when we got our appetizers. Vibes are indeed weird. I was confused if we even had a waitress, no one checked up on us. Chefs handed us our food. We had to ask one of the chefs for our check, even then it took a min for us to receive it and get change for it. I unfortunately left still hungry and unsatisfied with my first/last experience here.

Love the creativity and variety with the sushi options. Started with the aguachile, ordered the Muay Thai, and ended with the chefs selection. All dishes were beautifully plated and fresh ingredients were used throughout. Love the cozy atmosphere, wonderful menu selections, and service was warm and friendly. Can't wait to stop in again

Over all I found this spot to be the BEST sushi I have ever had, everything was fresh, delicious, we went rouge and the chef didn't disappoint... Totally love the fact it's all RAW!

I have eaten at Bisutoro many times as I live nearby. Pros: Most importantly, the food is overall very good. There are some rolls I don't like the flavor combos on but generally the quality of fish is great. The hand roll Sunday special is worth it. Cons: Weird vibes. The staff including management is pretty subpar, mostly negligent, and rude with the exception of the sushi chefs who I really like (sit at the sushi bar). Bartenders are only good at making drinks on the menu (e.g., don't order a martini here). Most importantly on the cons list is that this place is pretty expensive. If you want the sashimi to be nigiri instead, for example, it's double the cost (for just rice). There are now a few high quality sushi options in the city and I am less inclined to come back here mostly because of what the bill ends up being for an experience I don't really enjoy when you add in the weird trendy music and bad service. And whatever you do, don't order the $4 cucumber appetizer which is just really under seasoned sliced cucumber.

It’s a small intimate place (some may say cramped), but the sushi is really out of this world fresh. We sat at the bar and our server was one of the bartenders who was super friendly and helpful. We’re pretty adventurous eaters so we tried a lot of sashimi and rolls, all were excellent! Not a place I would recommend for groups of 3 or more but perfect for date night.

Great sushi here but the selection of food is very limited compared to most sushi restaurants in town.

The best sushi I've had in New Orleans. Fish was fresh, cut perfectly and was simply fantastic. Great little spot.

Delicious and fresh sushi and hand rolls. This is not the place for cheap and fast sushi. But the prices reflect the quality you’ll get. Some of the best and freshest sushi in the city.Sunday afternoon happy hour is the way to go for a deal also.Space is tight, so if the weather isn’t nice enough to sit outside, best to go early or make a reservation.Vegetarian options: Mostly pescatarian

Not what I was expecting. Pros & cons. First and foremost, was culturally shocked to be in a Japanese restaurant with all caucasian staff / cooks. Never experienced that before. Loses the "authenticity" of the food genre for me. Food was good but small portions and overpriced IMO. Our 8 piece roll was $19, for very tiny pieces. We're used to "pricey California" sushi which would've been $8-$10 for the same item.
