Blue Nile is, without a doubt, one of the best places to enjoy the authentic New Orleans vibe. From the moment you enter, you are enveloped in a unique atmosphere, with spectacular live music that transports you to the heart of the city. The staff is friendly, the drinks are well prepared, and the energy of the place is simply contagious.

I really dig the Blue Nile on Frenchmens street. It's a standing venue with a lot of good acts. This time, I saw Irvin Mayfield with an assortment of other characters including; Cyrille Neville, Kermit Ruffins, Jamal Batiste and others, plus a 6 person choir singing backup vocals from the audience. Quite the unique experience. Only in NOLA.

Went on the earlier end, so I imagine it gets busier and more lively as the night goes on - but even at 9:30/10pm, the band playing were great. Energetic and played a variety of hits, jazz style. The place was buzzing even with a smaller crowd. Drinks were decent and inexpensive.
