The burger was absolutely amazing! However, when dining with a large group, we were disappointed to find they made a big deal about not allowing us to split the bill—definitely not ideal. On the plus side, the interior is stylish, and the patio is a great spot to enjoy a meal. The restaurant seems to cater to a more upscale crowd, with a focus on a well-dressed cliente

Lovely mid-century inspired bar/small restaurant, quality craft cocktails and wine list, the beer list is passable but it's not a beer bar.

Great place. I've been several times always great service and atmosphere. We didn't eat much, just crab claws and fries while having drinks. The food is really good. Give them a try!

Bouligny Tavern is quite a unique place on Magazine in the Touro area above Garden. A perfect place for small plates and cocktails rather than a sit down multi-course meal. Plenty of well-crafted plates on the menu to make and share a meal. The atmosphere suits the intent here, quite beautiful, dimly lit, a few small tables, outside in front. From the well-crafted cocktail menu, my first was the Black Sunshine - Black & White Rum, Falernum (my fav tiki mixer), Bittermans Tepache Liquer, Pineapple and Lemon. Jumping ahead, my 2nd was the !Viva Zapata! - Jalapeño-infused Tequila, Mezcal, Lime, Grenadine and Angostura. As spicy as it was smoky (not everyone's thing). For small plates, my first was Blue Crab Claws, opting for the butter/garlic/herbs alternative at the solicited rec of the bartender. Next small plate was the Beef Bourguignon Bruschetta. Savory and slightly sweet, quite wonderful flavors packed into this somewhat heavier of the menu options, suited me well at the time. Wasn't planning on dessert, but coconut cake was a good finish. In summary, Bouligny is a great upscale cozy romantic bar scene for a couple or group of 4 max. Highly recommend, will return often.

On a stroll through the charming streets of New Orleans’ Garden District, we found our way to Bouligny Tavern, an awesome spot in an elegant mid-century modern building on Magazine Street. Opened in 2010, Bouligny Tavern is named after one of the first Creole plantations in the area.

After admiring the historic mansions and lush oak trees on our walk, this spot was the perfect place to grab a drink. The atmosphere is sleek with dim lighting.

I was in the mood for an Old Fashioned, and their fig variation was a great change up. Our bartender was equally fantastic—attentive and knowledgeable on bourbons.

If you’re in the Garden District, check this spot out. We just had a drink but they serve food as well.

Stopped in for an afternoon cocktail and the service was exceptional, to the point we returned a few hours later after a visit to Dakar. Match this pairing. You will not regret it. The music is provided by vinyl records contained within a box behind the bar. Listening through an album the way you did as a kid. Loved it.

A little off the beaten path but worth a visit. Short rib bruschetta was great. Duck confit eggs a little messy to eat but tasty. Their burger Pattie is most excellent.

The food and cocktails, especially the fries are insanely good. The real hero of the night was my bartender-a young woman who cared so much about my safety and comfort it seriously made me believe in humanity again. I wish I remembered her name!! Such a great staff which makes the food and dining experience incredible.

Did I mention that I HATE the new "GASTROPUB" concept going on in New Orleans recently. They don't have Abita Amber here and the food is way overpriced for the basic and not so great food. Just like all the "gastropubs" that are going on in New Orleans why should I bother with mediocrity and when I can just go to a real restaurant or bar where you can actually eat a plate of food that will fill you up instead of being a snack and actually get a selection of more than 4 beers. Did I mention I HATE GASTROPUBS!!!

There seems to usually be some decent looking women in this establishment and it seems to be one of the more trendy places to be "seen" but it just doesn't work for me and I really don't like what they did with all the "modern" renovations to this classic New Orleans building.

I really like Lilette and I enjoy dining there so it is very surprising to me that I dislike this place so much. I think it just goes to the core of the fact that I love to DINE and not SNACK and that is why I just can't seem to stand any of the places called Gastropubs so far (and that none of them have my BEER). It seems to me that I have a far more enjoyable experience eating and drinking at Lilette with far better quality food, a larger selection of drinks, and more comfortable seating so why should I bother with anything at Boligny Taven other than the motivation that women like small plates and go there in large groups. Ahhh it just doesn't motivate me and I will be staying on the Lilette side.

Food was good, chief is working hard to be creative. Service was extremely poor. Front house manager was aggressive and rude. Can’t recommend this establishment!!

I’ve never wanted to leave a bad review for a restaraunt in my but from the second we sat down our waiter was just dry and rude. The cocktails weren’t super impressive and we ordered 4 different food items and the only good thing we had were the French fries. We would have actually had a better time and not left this review at all if the waiter had been even a little bit more welcoming, we were barely even able to flag him down to get our check. We left so disappointed with the whole experience - it felt like a huge waste of time and money.
