The burger was absolutely amazing! However, when dining with a large group, we were disappointed to find they made a big deal about not allowing us to split the bill—definitely not ideal. Great place. I've been several times always great service and atmosphere. We didn't eat much, just crab claws and fries while having drinks. The food is really good. Give them a try!
Bouligny Tavern is quite a unique place on Magazine in the Touro area above Garden. A perfect place for small plates and cocktails rather than a sit down multi-course meal. Plenty of well-crafted plates on the menu to make and share a meal. The atmosphere suits the intent here, quite beautiful, dimly lit, a few small tables, outside in front. From the well-crafted cocktail menu, my first was the Black Sunshine - Black & White Rum, Falernum (my fav tiki mixer), Bittermans Tepache...
